ecu +1-: this the pirates' last home game of the season, and first since ecu announced coach herrion will not return next year. ecu also needs this win to assure a place in the c-usa tourney. despite their woeful record, the pirates have played much better over the last month, and are a solid home team. in their last three at home, they beat st louis, beat unc-c, and lost by two to marquette on a last second bucket. btw, marquette was a two point favorite in that game, and you'll have a hard time convicing me that there is only a half point difference between marquette and houston. cougars are only 4-9-1 ats only the road this year, shooting under 40% and allowing 47% fg. no way they should be favored.
