I'm not a big fan of trends. Sure, some will argue a trend is your friend, but you need to realize it's past data and doesn't accurately reflect the future.

I know Va Tech is world beaters on Thursday nights as well... however, Michael or Marcus Vick aren't playing QB and this will be VT's toughest game so far this season. Just a feeling they lose, but gladly grabbing the points.

BC>GT???? I would definitely disagree that this will be the toughest game so far this season, especially since VT history of homefield dominance and dropping thier last two big games there, the teams have had increasing pressure to perfom well at home. I think pressure is all on BC tonight.

I am very biased, but unlike alot of teams, Beamer's usually dont fall apart after a loss. They usually bounce back.

V Tech is 16-17 SU after a loss

V Tech is 5-6 SU off an upset loss to a conference rival as a favorite

V Tech is 3-7 SU off a home loss against a conference rival

Not really impressed with the defensive stats when the games were against Northeastern/North Carolina/Duke/Cinci and Geo Tech, who rung 38 on their ass.

And Reggie Ball is not impressive to me at all, as he is very inaccurate and should have a lot better numbers considering he is throwing to Johnson.

I think everyone is looking at VaTech and thinking of the old VaTech, but O'Briens teams ALWAYS come out well coached and well schemed. I dont care about VaTechs record in previous Thursdays, unless Vick and K Jones are eligible for this game.

B.C. ran into a new QB that ended up being a big difference for N.C. State. Clemson win was solid, even though they were outgained in yardage. BYU is a team nobody likes to play with solid QB play and a tough offense.

Plus it's not easy to play at B.C....if it was at VaTech it might be a diff story.

Hey you don't need to convince me man,

It's just hard for me to bet on a team that:

A)just lost to NC state (THE NC state that lost to akron)

B: ranked 92 in the country in giving up yards against teams like BYU and NC State Maine, central michigan and wait the 1 team that is ok...Clemson geez

C: Will get no where on the run tonight

D: Is playing a team that doesn't need to consistantly make it a close game and bail themselves out at the end.

BC is a team that makes a lot of mistakes plain and simple. If BC can throw the ball and not make any mistakes tonight they will win....but I wouldn't BET ON IT

November of 2003 was the last time they lost back to back games. I don't know what those trends were supposed to tell us.
