On the course!
We all have been pissed over some of our losses, but how pissed?

I can remember a few years back, on a "get it all back" Monday night game, when Pittsburgh was playing. I think it was KC or Jaxvlle, but whatever it was, Pitt had the spread covered. Last play of the game, and they are lined up for a field goal. Make it.....I win. Miss it.....I win. Only way to blow it, ia a blocked fg run back for a td, and that's just what happened! I fired my remote control across the room, and put a hole in the wall, and of course, broke the remote. I've never done anything so rash since, but was currious as to what you guys have done after a big loss?

in 2001, the first game of the season was Georgia Tech and Syracuse. I had Tech -7.5....they were up 13-7, had the ball with like a minute to go. Joe Burns breaks for a big run and gets tackled at the 1 yard line....and the knee the rest of the game out at the 1 fawking yard line....I threw the remote and my cell phone..breaking both

havent won betting on or against Tech since that day...

Had the same exact game and remember it like it was yesterday. For that one I punched my bedreoom door and the door knob went through the wall.

I remember that game. It was USC @ Arizona St. ASU scored TD then USC got the ball and threw an INT for a TD and lost by 13pts. Wow, I can't believe USC was 12.5 underdogs vs ASU. Boy have times changed!

I threw my glasses across the room once, then got up and stomped them to bits. :) That was about 10 years ago. Was also known to throw pillows, punch brick walls, etc. Maybe I'm mellowing with age, but I really haven't lost it in about 4 years now. I guess after a while I've just learned to accept that I'm going to lose games regularly that I shouldn't lose (it works the other way too).

Funny thing is when I was really raging I was betting $20/game. Since then I've had days where I have dropped a couple thousand and not reacted like I did way back when.

(edit) Oh, and that game you are referring to in the first post...yes, that was Pitt/Jax. I was lucky enough to be on the right side of that one. (Funny how I can't remember what I did this morning, but I can remember who I bet on in a game that was probably 6 or 7 years ago now).

GM, I was on the winning end of that blocked FG also...man that was one of the greatest! Always 2 sides to these games.

On the other hand there was a Sunday night game a few years ago where Buffalo was giving points to Cards and Billls controlled the whole game. I had Cards and lo and behold somehow, someway they got a late score finally to get the cover - until the onsides kick in which they allowed a Buff player to scoop the ball and take it in for the TD!

Suffice it to say I have been extremely pissed off many times over the years such that I probably could have blown a blood vessel in my brain. Some of the plays that can beat you are so utterly stupid. How about the Browns vs Bears a few years ago with Browns getting points and leading by 14 in final couple minutes? They give up a score, blow the onsides kick and allow Bears to score again to force OT and THEN give the INT to Urlacher who can't just set up the winning FG (with Browns still covering) but takes it to the house for 6.

Then there was Giants vs Chargers. Giants leading and in FG position late with the FG guaranteeing the cover. Moron QB (Dave Brown?) throws it in the middle and Seau returns it from endzone to endzone.

Had the Cards years ago against Dallas. Comfy lead until Cards give up 3 TDs in the last 5 minutes.

These games STILL piss me off.

But then there are those that I've won like Cards over Vikes in final week last year and the miracle Jets comeback on Monday against Miami after I'd given up on the game. But then there was that BS Tampa fold-job to Indy last year.

Guess they all even out over the long haul.

Anyway, sorry to trip down memory lane as was kind of off-topic.

The all-time worst beat I have ever seen...without a doubt: The Buff @ NE game a few years back.

Game was under the total by 7? with NE moving the ball for the game-winning TD. They get it with no time on the clock. Bills leave the field in disgust (I believe there was a bad non-call in there, TD should not have counted, but it did. Anyways, the Bills had lost the game and the extra point didn't matter - to them). With no defence on the field, the Pats decide to walk it in for 2 pts...and go over the total in the process. THAT hurt.

Runner-up - I am not a huge college football fan, I don't bet CFB anymore...so I forget the teams involved. But basically, I needed a TD + extra point for victory. The team with the ball needed a TD to win (extra point not important - to them). Again, the team scores a TD...and the fans storm the field and rip down the goal posts in celebration. The extra point can't be kicked...bet loses by a half a point. I go ballistic. :cursin: :cursin:

sucks when youre all-time worst beat just so happens to be on a game in which you also have one of your all-time largest wagers.

brings back baaaaadd memories.

astros (-140) over pirates. game 1 of a double header at pnc park.

in fact, the 3 year anniversary of this bad beat is right around the corner.

september 28, 2001.

houston leading 8-1 in the bottom of the 9th inning.

1st pittsburgh batter.......out.

2nd pittsburgh batter......out.

there are TWO outs. there is NOBODY on base. houston is wining EIGHT TO ONE.

pirates score EIGHT runs, all with TWO outs and the bases 100% COMPLETELY EMPTY (tautology added for effect, lol), and its capped off by a brian giles walk-off grand slam off billy wagner.

my ass is just now starting to recover. to add insult to injury, that was game 1 of a double header and of course the astros crusied 12-3 in the night cap.
