Now I know it is easy to second guess after the outcome but why would you do these things?
Earlier in the game when it was 1-0 White Sox leading and 1 out and runners on 2nd& 3rd with Kotsay up to bat he walks him to load the bases.Next batter makes an out but next batter gets base hit and then the inning ends,3-0 Chicago.Clev gets 1 back and it is 3-1.Later in the game with a runner on 2nd and 1 out with first base open he elects to pitch to Kotsay who is hitting 360 something vs Clev.Well why would you not pitch to him and force the bases loaded but then later with first open pitch to him.Well that first pitch was a 2 run HR,now 5-1 Chic.
Then in the 9th with Jenks struggling a bit and runners on 1st & 2nd nobody out and down 5-3 he elects to sacrifice an out after already scoring 1 run and Choo on deck(arguably your best hitter right now).Now I know you want to stay out of the DP but your leadoff guy isn't that easy to double up and once you sacrifice an out you open first base and they don't have to pitch to your best hitter.How fucking stupid are you.Well needless to say you get a run after a walk after Choo but nothing else leaving the bases loaded and losing 5-4 when you should have won the game 4-3.Another great managing job by Acta.All this being said watch Clev beat Yanks on Friday.
