It should be interesting to see how good he is. My guess is he will be just fine for the sox. I'm just wondering how pabelbon will do as a starter. The thing that pisses me off is the ridiculous increase the yanks raised their field seats. If the players play hard and give it all they got it's all I can ask for. Bottom line is these guys make too much money :nono:

He is 26 years old and the Sox got him for 6 years at 52 million, or 8 + million per season. That is a incredible deal. You're getting twice the pitcher as Schmidt for half the money.


Against the cap that's correct, but they did pay over 100 million out of their pocket to get this guy on the team.

Save a little bit on luxury tax but this isn't a true 6 year 52 million dollar deal.
