lowell...the most important thing to remember is to put ure car in neutral when braking.......with the car in drive or in gear with clutch out the transmission wants to push car forward creating a slide while your braking. in neutral, the car rolls free and braking will be much easier/no slide..also, pump breaks when going down hill.

gluck driving in the snow bud...it can be interesting.

You guys should see the grocery stores 12 hrs before they forecast 2 inches of snow here in NC. People are in line w/ bread, flashlights, generators, enough water to fill an olympic pool, dehydrated food, etc. They think the end of the world is coming. Next big forecast we get I'll take a digital to the store and take some pics of the barren isles and long lines, it's quite funny for a displaced yankee like myself

THATS CLASSIC!!!!!!:hail

agree Blizzaks are great winter tires, have them on one vehicle. others just have all season.

should go slower, you do not know when you will hit ice, also carefull when coming to intersections.

worse snow storm drove in was 2 weeks ago, after a hockey game it snowed about 15 inches in a short period of time. That is not the problem it is when the wind starts blowing at 40km + whips up the snow, could hardly see a thing.

if you get freezing rain, stay home.
like what one person interviewed last night about the wether in Southern Ontario, she said " it could be worse, just been to Winnipeg the last month...."LOL :D

thanks

Shifting into neutral is great advice. Here is an easy way to do it.
If your shifter is on the column just push it away from you and up. There is a safety lock that stops it in neutral. You will not hit reverse. If your shifter is on the floor just push it straight forward without pushing in the button and the same thing will happen.

Drive slow and stay off the damn brake. Using neutral is very good advice. If you slide just steer it DO NOT USE THE BRAKES.
