Chip Kelly loves to score as many points as he can we all know that. But why does he elect to sit on the ball and make no attempt to score just run the same running play over and over for over a quarter. Why was he content with the 11pt lead when arizona st was moving the ball so well all night. If not for those picks oregon could have very well lost this game. What boggles my mind is that a coach who loves to score would go so conservative:shrug: He makes no attempt to throw the ball just runs the same play over and over. If you just going to pound the ball then why go from the shotgun. Have your qb go under center and pound the rock just like you did with 2 minutes left. I just dont get it. There is no way the way the game was going that he could have thought an 11pt lead was enough

It intersting because when you have been a coach you watch the games a lot different. I watched all the game and I noticed almost every scoring drive but I think one Oregon passed on 1st down everytime. All the other times they ran on first down they never scored. You cant tell me he thought and 11pt lead is enough. As a coach you have to know the only times you scored today was when you threw on first downs everytime. Arizona St. made no adjustments they were geared up for the run on 1st down everytime. Kelly as a coach has to know this and he has to know the only way you have scored tonight on offense is when you threw on 1st down every play. Case in point from the late 3rd on Oregon ran the ball on 1st down everytime but one possession. On that possession they threw on 1st down twice and got two 1st downs. Then they went back to running on 1st down. This tells me that Chip Kelly is an overrated coach or he had a bet on tonights game:142smilie He could have easily of lost them the ballgame

Considering all of the money from 9/21 forward was 11.5 and more it really makes you wonder. This is a guy who hammered Tennessee till the last drive. You are correct CHIP had no interest in scoring after he got an 11 point lead. NONE. Mid-way through the 3rd Q it was run up the gut run up the gut my guess is they threw the ball 1 out of every 10 plays from that point. Though he did overthrow 2 TD's for sure. If the score did not sit at 11 and was no where near the spread why would we question it. No doubt in my mind GAMBLING was involved ---- These coaches have lots and lots and lots of friends and boosters who CAN MAKE WAGERS.
