Can anyone tell me if you think the loss last night, should effect the way you look at ou vs usc? Does that now give ou more credit?

I don't think it affects it one way or the other. I think you saw a team that wanted to be there, playing a team that was still pouting over where they weren't.

I'm willing to bet Cal didn't prepare and practice with the intensity they would of for a Pac-10 game. Not to take anything away from Tech. They're talented and administered a serious butt-whipping last night. But I think if it's a regular season game, it's a completely different game.

This is what makes bowl games so tough. You never fully know the mental aspect of teams. Some are just happy to be there and take it as a weeklong party, while some come with a chip on their shoulder with something to prove.

I still like USC.

I can't buy into that "didn't want to be there" thing.
Firstly, the Pac-10 is very weak this year and Cal represented that well last nite.
Secondly, Tx Tech has more team speed on both sides of the ball,,and that is hard to overcome.
If this matchup went 10 games, Tech wins at least seven, mainly because they are the better team.
"HOW DOES THIS FIGURE INTO CAPPING..."
Well, I'm thinking So. Cal is the weaker team,,but that's just MHO.
Good luck.

Simply, the Pac 10 is over rated. I think OU will win and probably easily! Rodgers tried to win and Cal's D got the surprise of their life by the wideouts of Tech. The better team won. If Cal didn't want to be there, all that they did was embarrassed themselves.

The Pac 10 is never overrated and their ATS records OOC and their ATS records in bowl games reflect that.

OU is the play IMHO, but it has nothing to do with the way Cal played last night, just as it should have never affected your handicapping the Big XII in late bowl in previous years games the way that uninspired Longhorn teams got smacked around in the Holday Bowl in past years.

I personally have been a fan of Pac 10 for years, but looking at UCLA and Cal in the bowls,,that's pretty bad,,I mean, not even close! Not sure what to think of Oregon St. beating up on N. Dame.
This year the Pac 10 is getting hammered in their losses.
That's what I'm seeing.

Right now I am 3-0 betting on Pac 10 team games. I had a big bet on Oreg State not because Oreg State was so good was because ND was so bad. And UCLA and CAL were easy winners what bothers me is I did not play either on the moneyline. I think its hilarious that people that defend the pac 10 even try to make excuses for that pitiful display. Last time I checked WR did not play on defense :142lmao: ; it just goes to show that that defense was able to shutdown USC at USC what is OU going to do against them. I plan on playing Purdue big as they should manhandle Arizona State and I dont see how anyone wants to take a chance of betting on USC after seeing what some people were calling the best team in the nation (CAL) getting manhandled by the 5th or 6th best team in the big XII. What I thought was funny was the announcer flatout calling the PAC 10 OVERRATED and saying USC had no business in the NC game because their conference is so weak. He also said he was not biased and watched every game. :142lmao:
