I guess the whole country was just filled with envy in 2001 too. You have zero credivility if you cant admit how bad the officiating was in that Final Four.

That was a charge huh? So if Rudy leans into the guy when he is driving down the lane and makes contact with him, its a charge? He was out of position and it showed when he fell down, he fell sideways he was so out of position.

Well if ALL the calls seem to go Dukes way ALL the time why would you bet against them

I don't have any money on the game. Just trying to watch a good game, but it's not even close with all of the calls going to Duke.

If you were tlaking Carolina of 20 years ago i would agree. But no team gets as favorable a treatment as Duke does. And it doesnt matter how good your team is - it should be the same for all. You seem to be admitting the calls go that way, yet are being critical of people pointing it out?

And actually, the secret meetings are after the games when the conference suspends the officials from Duke games.

I do admit that the great teams and great players seem to get the benefit of the doubt on calls. I agree that it shouldn't be that way, but it is. Same in the NBA. That doesn't mean the games are fixed or that the NCAA is conspiring to help one team out of all the schools in the country. It just means that referees have close calls to make a lot of times, and they seem to give a preference to a star over an unknown, a senior over a freshman, etc. That doesn't just happen in Duke games.

Also, the suspension of the refs after the FSU game (one game, not games as you suggest) was not secret at all. It was widely reported.

I am not a Duke fan at all and agree about most of the calls but to hear this crying game after game after game after game after game afer game after game after game after game just gets a little old

Who said anything about comparing athletic departments? Texas has 20 or 30 thousand students, and Duke has 6. If Texas didn't do better in football, that would be embarrassing. But we were talking about basketball as I recall.

Not as long as it is justified.

Hey, what do you know, the fouls are 10-4.

Guess which team has 10 fouls? :mj07:

BTW, you could hear the air in the ball on that last "foul" call when Williams was shooting. But I guess it was a foul, again.
