Your point is well taken. All in one week. Eight occuring in Iraq. If my history is correct, George Bush invaded Iraq in March, 2003 and has been occupying that country ever since.

Had we not been distracted and spent over a trillion (which will be over a trillion, yes, I said trillion dollars to make sure Halliburton doesn't do an Enron) maybe 1) all these pissed off muslims wouldn't be carrying out these attacks, and 2) if they were, maybe we could deploy some resources to fight them.

Your are proving my point, Garemeister.

Don't you understand GW they dont have to attack us because we are killing ourselves for them in Iraq.
Sadly this statement is very true. More American lives have been lost in Iraq than in 9/11 and the numbers keep growing.

8 are from iraq...

what about the "bike bombs",the rockets fired into residential areas, the ethnic cleansing....

the 41 year old rubber worker ,the 62 year old phillipine farmer(female),the bus bombings,

"Suspected Jama'atul Mujahideen strangle a woman, then hang her from a tree."

"Four children, ages 4 to 12, are killed along with a woman from the same family of migrant workers when Islamic terrorists throw a grenade into a bus stop. "

edward...you`re a smart guy....smart enough to fleece the unsuspecting out of at least 25 to 50% of their judgements....

even though the msm doesn`t print this stuff or show it on the news, that doesn`t mean it can`t be found...

i`m here to help...;)

don't give away my secrets Gary. I don't want all my unsuspecting clients to realize that all they have to do to get those millions of dollars is to write a letter to the doctors insurance company that just killed their spouse and ask for it. Yeah, thats all I do and they send me billions for a half hour of my time. Its a real racket I've got going. You'll be puttin me outta business.

Now back to your silly point. What about all of that. You are complaining about these events after we flexed our muscle and the big bad bush was supposed to fight them over there......remember.

Well, looks like over there is a lot worse today than it was when that criminal took office. Too bad old GW couldnt just eliminate 2+billlion muslims. That would have taken care of the problem.

Instead, Bush's approach as escalated the situation, created more terrorists and caused more deaths. Gary, its time for a CHANGE.

not complaining...i`m pointing out the fact that the jihad against us has been taking place since the carter administration...and unfortunately it took an extremely harsh wake up call for us to get the message...

and some still don`t get it...go figure...

the embassy in iran, the uss cole, the 1st wtc attack, embassy bombings in east africa, the khobar towers bombings.....a plot on the life of bill clinton(oops, that was saddam...sorry)....

escalated?......

no attacks on the homeland since 9/11....actually,not much against our interests overseas......guess they were busy in iraq...

well now, they`ve basically been kicked out of iraq.....and have fled to afghanistan....

yes...i`d rather have them fighting our military than killing our civilian women and chidren...

remember..the real purpose of the military isn`t to provide the "morons"(your term) who are "stupid enough to enlist"(your phrase) with g.i. bill benefits...it`s to protect, defend and carry out the country`s military objectives to assist in achieving our foreign policy objectives...

but, now, the cat`s out of the bag...they aren`t sneaking up on us anymore.....not only are we chasing them into the wilderness in afghanistan, but nato is helping quite a bit....and apparently, nato`s going to contribute more...

not to mention the fact that the pakistanis are fed up with al qaeda`s crap...and they`re on their asses as well...

we are finally aware(most of us)..and we should be safe until obama nixes the fisa surveillance program and the supremes allow these murderers to make a mockery of our court system....

a new client base,edward...:00x30

everything is peachy,terrorism-wise.... it`s better now for us than it`s been in years...

yes,of course they`re still mass murdering innocents and trying to commit genocide in other parts of the world....but that`s been going on in one form or another for centuries.......someones always offending radical islam`s "sensibilities" in one form or another(those damn cartoons...those damn christians/buddhists/any other belief system believers...or even atheistic non-believers...we all get the same treatment) ...

and btw....you lawyer fellows are one of the major reasons that health insurance is so expensive....you don`t think that doctors and hospitals are gonna eat the cost of defending all those frivolous lawsuits,do you?....

thanks for that,counselor...;)

much love edward...we disagree, but, as usual, you`re more fun than a barrel of piranhas...

In all fairness I believe the time frame may be relevent Gregg--one occurred in hours the other in days--and fortuntely the #'s in war have been declining--and 9/11 attacks held in check 100% since.

I believe presidents # 1 job is to keep america safe--our troops have volunteered to do just that.
Appears to me both have done excellent job since 9/11 to date.

Gary:

I think I've been consistent on this and for those who can handle the truth:

it was an invasion, then it was, and currently is, an occupation.

Never was a war on terror. That was just a cute name the Bush administration, right wing radio, and the corporate media gave it. Kinda like "the Patriot Act" or "the Water Conservation Act".

George W. Bush has never fought a war on terror. Had he fought a war on terror (which would have been much more difficult cause he wouldn't get to pound the big broad American military chest) we would have defeated Al Quida by now instead of being on the brink of an invasion of Iran aka another recruiting poster for Al Quida.

The man is positively the dumbest thing to walk the planet.

Fact of matter is who ever we capture or military accomplished achieved we can always count on you and your kind--to come through--for the enemy---

A veteran American lawyer and political activist says he will represent the Iranian regime if it decides to sue the United States.

Iran's Press TV reports University of Illinois law professor Francis Boyle is urging Iranian leaders to sue Israel and the U.S. through the International Court of Justice in an effort to block further sanctions on its nuclear program and to discourage a military attack. He says, "Iran should sue these states immediately, convene an emergency hearing by the World Court and ask the court to indicate provisional measures of protection on behalf of Iran... basically a temporary restraining order."

Boyle is legal counsel to the provisional government of the Palestinian state. He published a book last year that encouraged the impeachment of President Bush.

Hmm from University of Illinois--where does that ring a bell?

The fact that there have not been any attacks on American soil since 9/11 has absolutely nothing to do with our military presence in Iraq.

Nothing.

Wayne:

I am sympathetic toward his position on impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Little to late now. Can't comment on the other stuff you assert. Source? Fox News or the National Inquirer?

Gary:

The lawyers-lawsuits causing the cost of medicine to rise lie has been beaten to death by Wayne for years. Total lie. Tort reform been in place for years, insurance companies have been the ones causing malpractice premiums to rise in an effort to recoup .com investment losses.

Truth is doc's and hospitals still killing people, insurance companies still charging big malpractice premiums, health costs still through the roof, but big difference is now it is a lot harder to sue these thieves due to caps on noneconomic awards.

Best of all worlds for insurance and medical lobby. George W. Bush made sure of that and McBush wants to do the same. Actually Obama is no great friend of trial lawyers. I believe he was in favor of caps. One of his negatives as a constitutional law professor.
