Texas +145 --Great spot for the Rangers here, throwing their "ace" at home against a Yankee team coming off of 2 disappointing losses. Texas is swinging a hot stick after pummeling Blue Jay pitching the last few days...
Anaheim -135 --The Angels are quielty one of the hotter teams in baseball right now, having come off a successful roadie, and takeing 2 of 3 from the Tribe. The staff is decent and their great bully is rested as Washburn went 8+ yesterday. Sox are struggling and their pitching woes are well documented. I've never been a real strong Castillo guy, and their pen went through the ringer in the O's series.
Toronto +120-- How can anyone back the Twinks right now?? They are REALLY struggling, well under .500 since the break, and lost 5 of 6 vs. Tampa. Mays has been very average lately and Escobar was outstanding last time out. Toronto is a "turf team" too, so no Twin advantage there. I'll take the Jays plus the money.
Oakland -145 --This is my play of the day. Who is playing better than the A's right now?? They just find a way to win. The Indains struggle vs. left handed pitching (see Washburn yesterday) and Zito is a good one. His last few starts have been stellar and is rolling like the rest of his teammates. Finley on the other hand, is making his 3 rd start after some extended time off due to injury. He was average both times--constantly darting in and out of trouble. With that type of effort, Oakland will make him pay tonight. The A's had an easy time taking 2 of 3 at the Jake last month, and I see no reason why it won't happen again starting tonight....
I've got 5 tonight, with also a slight lean on the White Sox at KC.
