In all honesty! Would USC at #9 get 20 pts against bama? Bama looks amazing and USC somewhat better but not worth all the preseason hype, but the spread against bama would be less than 10. Goes to show all the BS in the BCS BS to keep ranked, teams in play to elevate other teams. Nothing to do with them SEC as I could care less about the conference crap!

No I dont think USC would get 20 But I think that vegas still sees Miss. St. as a flash in the pan and that they are going to come down to earth soon. Plus they see how Alabama destroted Michigan who is a pretty good team as well as Missouri and Tennessee all on the road or neutral fields. I think in this game Alabama deserves 24 and I think they probably cover. They seem like they are on a mission

This line has me puzzled. They lost at home to Bama last year 24-7 and this year their QB is much better with a more exp. squad. My lean is to taking the points!

Bulldogs have only managed 27 total points the last 4 years against 'Bama. (32-7, 31-3, 30-10 and 24-7).

"Experts" are calling this a trap game for 'Bama as it is one week after rivalry game at TN and before big rematch with LSU. Saban has this team focused and playing one game at a time. 24 points is an awful lot though. Based upon previous scores you should take the points but a Saturday night game in Bryant-Denny, homecoming and the Tide's first home game since Sept. 29.

24-7 in Mississippi which everyone has a tough time playing ini and the fact that Alabama is finally coming back home are the reasons I am playing Alabama +24 actually already put it in. Also I dont think Saban wants any discussion of a trap so I think he will try to have his team come out strong and stiffle Miss. St on D I may be wrong which I have been in the past but I am seeing 41-14 or so in this game

another example as well of the rankings not really being true

Fla V South Carolina. I never liked SC but that aside if they truly were 8th they shouldnt have been outplayed like that.

The season does not play out in a vacuum. Cocks were playing 3rd straight ranked foe, second straight on road and were very banged up.

I hear you I am just saying that just because Miss. St is ranked 11 doesnt mean they are the 11th best team just as I dont think SC is or ever was the 9th best or 3rd before the LSU game. and your right it doesnt play out in a vacuum. If it was played in a vacuum you wouldnt ever have to play any games cause you would already know the outcomes. And that only happens in Italian soccer.

Lots of mad in the original post of the thread.

I don't think MSU is the #11 team anymore than OSU is the #7 team. But who would you rank ahead of them?

An FSU team that lost to NCST?
A 2-Loss USC team that just got blown out by UF?
TTech? LOLno
Rutgers/Lville? Not a chance

A 2-Loss Stanford team and Clemson honestly have the best case for being ahead of MSU, but it all won't matter and thread will be full of moot points after MSU loses 3-4 of their remaining 5 games.

Lots of parity in CFB this year and outside of the top 4 teams (withholding judgement on ND until after this week) I would hate to be in charge of ranking the next 21 teams in a poll that actually mattered.

think bama beats the bulldogs by as much as they want. bama should be able to run the ball at will between the tackles as tennessee did. tennessee got 213 yard of rushing and was playing from behind all game.
