Someone can answer this; What sucks the most juice, from top to bottom. My guess would be the Electric Heater my Step Son leaves on continously in his bedroom? Maybe I will let him pay this months bill:0corn

mine was over $200 too! what's that all about? all summer long, even during the hot spell, it wasn't much higher than that. i'm afraid to get my gas bill too. last march my gas bill was $700 :scared

Gas and electric are combined on one bill here. It usually runs about$135 in th summer and about $220 in the winter.

Look at the carrier charges on your elec bill :scared It costs me more to get it than I use. :shrug:

Electric heaters use a WHOLE LOT of current.

Turn them on ONLY when necessary.

AND DON'T FORGET TO TURN THEM OFF!!!

Uts are included in my rent....no heater here...opened the windows a couple of weeks ago and turned the AC off

monthly electric bill averages $266...gas bill averages about $50 & water & sewer bill is about $70 per month..

Electric bill ~$250 summer ~$300 winter

No natural gas.

Water & Sewer ~$50

My gas and electric bill showed up yesterday. 201.43 total, of which 47.78 was electric and 153.65 was gas.

A little higher than what I had expected, but the avg temp this year was 28 vs 37 last year, so the bill should have been bigger.

I will only be paying 109 dollars this month, though. Mid-American Energy has a budget plan that they review every 3 months. Over the last year, its ben quite accurate in that its never been below 105 a month or over 118 a month.

Couple more months like this last one and I can see my monthly bill rising to 140 or so in Feb....:shrug:

And your biggest drain of electricity? Your big screen TV--regardless of how often you have it on.
I have a 55 inch plasma that I got in August and my electric bills are 15 dollars a month higher than they used to be...

I live in Ohio and its one level 6 room house, electric is always too much 120.00 a month and I heat with gas, I can see why its so high, we have a warm start this winter and includeing December, so far I`ve only paid 81.00 in gas, it don`t figure out, and I don`t use any electric heaters.
