I guess I spend way too much time at this...
Several hours on most days...and I need to simplify the process.. Just wondering how many hours weekly......most of you spend at the process of research and handicapping games..I'm at about 20 to 25 hours per week.. I know ..I know.... :s4: ....but I bet I'm in good company.

Yep brother Bear believe you and I discussed this years ago under the time value of money. As stated back then considering my general wager is $50 and I spend minimum 16 hours a week capping golf--regardless of a any projected success i'd be in hole if I considered return if I spent 16 extra hours on business--however all work and no play. Flip side it is only entertainment I have for most beside playing golf--and it cost must less to be on line than out partying--so some trade. You and I are at stage in life if we haven't made it for most -we won't and is some really inexpensive entertainment. So I look at it as no harm no foul.
I do think it is a pitfall for younger generation just starting out.Especially those that can go on-line at work.Quite a non-productive temptation when they should have nose to the grindstone.

DTB.....
You are a good man and REALLY have many many things in their proper perspective. ROI, while usually positive, is laughable when compared to return from working or other investment opportunities............just not as much fun..
You are absolutely right about the possible pitfalls for younger gamblers with the possibility of...time lost...productivity lost...upward mobility interrupted from a career standpoint, etc.
WORST CASE is the young family losing a Dad to a computer screen..and a TV set. Most of my gambling, while I was raising my children, consisted of maybe 6 to 8 hours per week in a newspaper or Mag...............There were no computers then and far fewer options.....And even then I felt guilty and would not watch most games on the weekends to do things with my wife and kids. i know many are probably doing the same today.
I guess thats why I don't feel right spending so much time on the screen now.............
KC... WOW! 10+ per day........Thats focused..AND... thats probably why you are as good as you are at this!!! I think I'm probably a little ADHD but could never last even half that.

Oh.. DTB....it will be 5 years this summer(thanks to your support with a few others)..I cannot tell you about the difference it has made....I know that there is nothing worse than a reformed smoker.........BUT....that support is UNQUESTIONABLY one of the best gifts I ever got..Thanks again!!
