Very nice card today, so I'm giving it a shot.

Gonna be doing a little research here - I've backtested something and it works. BUT, you know them disclaimers -"Past performance does not reflect future.. blah, blah, blah..... ."

I'm gonna call it TEST plays. Basically, the TEST plays are strictly related to just playing the picks according to how how they are rated using my handicapping methods. And you ALWAYS play them in the same structured way. The regular way I play them is to also add my 2 cents to the picture and then play them the way I think is best.

The plays I'm TESTing calls for you/me to play ONLY zotics and that means exactas AND trifectas. If your capping is good enough - it will make moola and sometimes plenty of it. If you capping is off.. you'll lose moola AND plenty of it. Unfortunately, it calls for many combos and it gets too costly. I gave it a go in one of the 3 races I played yesterday and caught a $166 exacta. I ONLY PLAYED THE EXACTAS PART and that turned out to be a good move (woulda missed the tri). I had to lay out 52 smackers to cover the zactas. Even if I played the tries.. the race woulda been quite profitable. A big part of being successful is figuring out which races to play; I think I got enough practice at doing that.

Today's picks...

4th race:
Like yesterday, I AM gonna do the TEST thingy, for real, the exacta part, only - 3,5 top/bot 1,3.5,7,9. (tries woulda been -> 3,5/1,3,5,7,9/1,3,5,7,9 and 1,3,5,7,9/3,5/1,3,5,7,9... forget that!). NOT supposed to do this, but I'm gonna play no. 9 on the side to WIN, only.

6th race:
Not gonna bother writing the TEST thing, I'll be playing 7,8 top/bot 4,10 also no. 1 win/place AND two longshots to win .. no. 7 and 8. The no. 7 could produce a MONSTER payoff and the 8 will prob. go off lower than it's M.L. (10-1) but there's value playing it. I got 5 contenders marked for this race and due to the large field and all.. it's a tough nut to crack. Still, you gotta go for these type of races at Philly. It's similar to betting one of the Breeders Cup races - not much chance of catching one of them big tunas but if you do .. well,:00hour . Just ask Hamster about that. I like my chances better playing this kinda game with the Philly dirt bombs instead of the big time hosses.

9th race:
Zactas, my style, for this one... 1,8 top/bot 5,7.

G.L. MJers and Peepers.

Errr.. . I'm Jimbo :0008, but thanks anyways, krc.

Koz, keep up the GOOD work.

Yesterday
4th - with getting back nearly all them bets due to the scratch on no. 5, a measly $17+ zacta made the race profitable. Something else.

6th - Sure as hell spent a lot of time to find which horses were gonna get scratch. Got all bets returned. Sheesh!

9th - Can ya believe it - plenty of scwatch money got returned again? BTW, the wiener, no. 6 ($60.60) was my bestest "late pace" figure hoss in the race. You just can't play a hoss like that though with all the other stuff you see in her record.

At least my tennis bet of the year so far (Kividova .. or something like that) didn't scwatch :)
