in my opinion illinois has its best chance by trying to play the game like ga tech in dc or duke in durham. bynum and nelson had career games. duke made unc play a half court game and even though they got killed on the boards they won by one point while shooting 22 free throws. tech outrebounded unc and shot 29 free throws but also kept game in low 70's. wake shot 32-32 free throws but also got most of its scoring from the outside. unc does not defend the 3 very well. mich state just couldn't shoot the ball. if illinois plays a wake type game they will lose but if they can deny may the ball and keep mccants from getting many open looks, felton and marvin will have to beat them. illinois needs a good balance of number of 3's versus driving to the basket and getting on the line. even though unc has more talent i think illinois has more determination and may be a smarter team.and we also we have the roy factor to consider.if my memory is correct nick collison had career game vs duke and then played a mediocre game vs syracuse. i know it sounds easy but keep mccants and may from scoring their average, keep free throws and rebounds about even and keep game under 155 and i think illinois wins.
