Wish i knew,just went though all posted plays here looking for some insight.have made other plays mostly close to postime,watching the odds,no time to post,also a few exiotics.been betting mostly win some place depending on size of field and how likely fav. is to hit board.bets have been between 20 to 500 a race.show a small profit after comp. ink and form cost,not enough though.below are some conclusions.includes every posted play except one that went off at 3/5,and stated in post probably bet to low to play,try never to bet under 2/1.

33 plays 5 win 4 place 6 show h.p. fall meet 11/6 till 12/22
win 15% ave. payoff 13.00
place 27% ave, payoff 6.80
show-don't bet - in money 46%

flat 2$ win place bet 1.00 loss on win 4.80 loss place

conclusion?
need to increase win% without reducing ave. payout to much
need to quit place betting?
maybe put place money on exiotics with key horse?
bet the same amount every race no matter how much down,or
or how many beers iv'e had. control losses.

need some help with this guy's,what works for you?

seems we have discussed this before over the last year or so,guess this will always be another piece of the puzzle.you bring up a few good points.

exiotics-i beileve the tri's,pick threes exc. are way over bet most newer players want it all ,right now not willing to grind out a profit.guess i was thinking maybe put my place money in exactas and quin. with key horse (win bet) these pools seem to be underbet in most races,when ex. pays almost as much as tri.or quin pays more than ex. somethings not right?


2/1-this is my cutoff point,don't play alot around this number and when do i believe they must have about 70% chance of win.wish i could get that in n.fl. ave win payoff has been 13.00

limit plays-agree with you here.down to one to five a day now,need to be more selective.maybe need two bankrolls one for 2-10$ action plays,and one for serious plays?
