In order to make your room smell better, first you have to remove the odor causing agents. Hint, you need to clean the apartment. However, most people do not know how to properly clean. using Febreeze (what a fawking joke), candles, or vinegar is a temporary fix and you are just covering up the smell and not removing it. If you try to use a bag vacuum, filter vacuum, or a broom -- YOU ARE NOT CLEANING!! You must use a device which maintains constant suction in order to remove whatever is causing the malacious odors. The only constant suction vacuums invented use water as their filter. The best water vacuum out there is a product called the Thermax. A close second (not as much suction) is the Rainbow vacuum. These vacuums also double as air cleaners as well. Have you ever been vacuuming and come upon a little piece of string and couldn't get it up? So you go over it again and again and still can't get it up. The reason is that the bag or filter you are using is clogged and you have no more suction. I like to call these inferior pieces of equipment dirt grinders (bag and filter vacuums) because all they do is grind all the dirt up and beat it further and further into your carpet, or hard wood floors. Bottom line: try to find someone who owns a water vacuum, or go to a vacuum rental store and rent one, or if you have the money to invest buy one. Vinegar will remove the odors from the air, but not remove what is causing the odors. Remove the odor causing elements and you will save money and live in a lot cleaner home.
