Nevermind that these guys are almost always white, middle-class conservatives who've never known poverty or been the victim of racial prejudice or injustice themselves. Yet they never miss an opportunity to pat themselves on the back while preaching their "self-made-man" mantra to the underclass.

They refuse to recognize that in the boom economy of the post WWII era, unions and collective bargainning played an integral part in shaping and building the American middle-class. Even companies that locked the unions out were forced to improve their wages and working conditions to compete and keep pace with companies that did not.

It's sad that so many Americans today fail to understand that we've ALL benefitted from the American labor movement. If we allow it to wither and die, so too will the middle-class. It's happening before our very eyes. Look no further than Wal-Mart.

Unions are still needed, azzbob, but there's no convincing you of that just as there was no convincing the azzbobs of 1910. The only difference is that a hundred years ago your predecessors used goons, guns and clubs to break unions (until the coal miners armed up), and now you use lobbyists, paid-off politicians, lies and fear mongering.

You might want to check the site a little closer and read up on the student loans. You see I do not qualify for "entitlements" either. I (just as anyone else) can however receive loans. Your assertions of schools according to regions are a prime example of your character. On one hand you berate those not wanting to give the poor lady that just wants to better herself an opportunity, and on the other hand you berate the lady attending a "Southern" school because who the hell would hire her. Dont think I have ever spoken to Azbob, but if he responded to me in that manner I would say the same to him. I cuss more than the average person actually, but I dont think it takes much to "discuss" things without the use of profanities thrown at people. You and others feel different, more power to you.

When u have guys blaming Obama for the economy three days after he took office is it a wonder people get frustrated? Dtb, was blaming him the first month. When u point to the 750 thousand jobs we were losing when he took office DTB say's nothing. Okay fine. Then a week later he post the same nonsense without addressing the point about losing 750,000 jobs when Obama took office. So u point it out again to DTB. He says's nothing but comes back the following week with the same nonsense. Kinda like with spending. All of a sudden he is against spending when we didn't hear a peep out of him when Bush was in office. Now can u see why people get frustrated? Start calling him names? I don't know. Neither i nor u know the woman but if i had to guess, trying to pay for the child and her rent plus bills, and then working and going to school ,looks almost impossible without help outside of the loans.
