I agree. Look at any sport when the "big man" has been sat.... Benches in NBA blow out starters all the time... Look at the LAL game yesterday; bench was destroying the starters of LAL for Houston. Or Utah Jazz bench in the final game of their season was killing it and then bam, on a 17-2 run Sloan calls time out, brings in D Williams and team goes back to the usual drill which was not GOOD enough or surprising enough to beat LAL that day. The bench was.
MLB, IMO is exactly the same. We all know that no one is going to replace Manny for good, but a few guys are gonna get a chance to prove themselves and in a way, "prove" themselves to Manny and fans that they deserve respect with or without him. NYY is soooo fucked up with all the big egos that their is ZERO Continuity in their team. I wouldnt be surprised to see NYY dump a bunch of these old timer money suckers and get back to fundamentals... For the money these big boys are getting ud figure better hitting and less errors than a minor league team... The guys filling in for injuries or "rest time" for the biggies there are doing better than the "stars"...
That probably makes no sense above... I hope you can make some sense at what I wrote there and got my pt..
In short, all will be fine, and possibly better in alot of ways without him... And, when he returns, watch out NL!
And the 1st inning for LAD wasnt to bad for an ego boost or my bankroll.... Just need to hold on for 1st 5 tonight.
