As has already been alluded to... Southeast Polk Rams are 6-5 and managed to literally squeak into the playoffs via a one one-hundredth of a percentage point and have made the most out of the experience by going on the road to two hostile stadiums and walking out with W's.... If there was ever a Cinderella story this is it as most of the pundits in Iowa can never remember a team to make it to the Dome and semifinals with 5 losses.... Interestingly, the Rams started 1-5 midway through the season but changed course going on a 5 game win streak outscoring opponents 223-37....*The 6 teams that upended Polk went a combined 45-9 regular season record......... This is the team's 16th trip to Playoffs and 9th in a row... They are in Semis for 4th time but last trip to the Dome was in 2012....The Rams best finish was runner-up in 2006.....Rams have avenged a 21 point regular season loss to Ankeny Centennial winning 21-7 in the playoffs...... Rams average 273.5 yards rushing (4th in 4A)........ QB Josiah Cole is a true dual threat with 943 rush yards and 814 pass yards but has 6 INT and has only passed for 3 TDs....... Jr RB Gavin Williams has 1,189 rush yards and had 138 last week...... Kicker Logan Sunvold is money connecting on 39 of 39 PATs and 3 of 6 FGs with a long of 43 yards....
Cedar Falls Tigers (11-0) is 4A Div top remaining playoff seed..... Tigers average 38.5 ppg and is a stout 6.5 ppg allowed.... Tigers have 5 shut-outs and have held opponents to a TD or less..... QB Carl Loecher has completed 63% of his passes for 1,740 yards w/27 TDs, he is a dual threat and a danger to pull it down and take off...... Tigers have a Dynasty Record of 136-35 (68-10 in league) and won State in 1986 despite winning league titles in 2017, '16, ' 10, '09, ' 07, '06, ' 05-04....Tigers average 186 rush yards per game, and 165 pass yards..... WR Logan Wolf has a team high 63 receptions for 1,110 yards (4th in the State) w/20 TD catches (2nd in State) *He is a gifted athlete that will play at No Iowa both football and basketball...... RB Sam Gary has 871 yards rushing and had 225 rush yards last week.....
Cedar Falls is a complete team and their Defense is anchored by LB Jack Campbell (Iowa) and the D is 4As best scoring defense.... Team has 18 INT w/4 fumble recoveries..... Tigers are long removed from the 1986 State Championship and runner ups in '82, '99, '05, ' 08...This is their 12th time in to the Semis...... Tigers have blasted both playoff opponents and Southeast Polk despite wearing the dancing shoes will more than likely see their incredible run end tonight.

Bulldogs toss an INT deep in their own end and the Maroons turn it into 7.
17-14 Bettendorf with 9:41 left in the game.
They?ll cover for us that have them; hoping they hold on for the win, too.

Thanks Jason, it means a lot.... This fire was incredible and was consuming a football field every 10 minutes.... They have no idea how many people are missing but it's going to be a high number when all is said and done... Chico was a ghost town when we arrived at 2 am.... The flames were spooky on the horizon..... I have many friends that lost everything...... The town of Paradise is basically gone..... The winds finally died down about 1 am but the fire is less than 10% contained.... All schools in Butte County are closed.....
The fire in Southern CA is out of control too and the area of Malibu is evacuated also.... Crazy!
Hope you cashed on the AHSTW game as the loss of stud RB was too much to overcome for E-C... Like taking candy :0058
The more I look at the Polk game the more I think this is going to be a tight game. Confidence is a summabitch in high school and those kids believe they could upset a team of Archangels right now... I will definitely take the 2 td head start.

In Iowa, they place the ball on the 10 yard line to start OT unlike in the college game where the ball is on the 25.
Dowling scores a TD, 27-20 with Bettendorf getting a chance to send it to a 3rd OT.

Your heart goes out to the Bettendorf kids. It was there... so close. Overall I think we all had a good day. I think we just had a little disagreeement on the last one but overall we all did well.
I am not doing the high school tomorrow as we have markets. Have to sell those dog treats.
FCS I see maybe one or two really strong plays but I have a lot of games coming up as plays. I will post in the morning when the lines drop to -110. A lot of injured quarterbacks, and a ton of parity across FCS right now. The title is clearly NDSU's to lose. Dont see anyone beating them.
