Ok, back with my plays for the minions of followers that are true Degenerate Sports Gamblers like myself.

Great trip to the southern CA region to watch some prime HSF football......

Let's Rock:

Thurs Action:

7 pm
Camas -10'
Sumner 54'

From the North.... Some WA HSF.... 2 of 4A Div collide with playoff ramifications further down the line... Camas Papermakers (not a typo) meets Sumner Spartans. The last time these two hooked up was 2016 State Semis which Camas won 46-21 *Camas would go on to capture the State Crown. Both teams are 3-2.

Sumner Spartans are ranked #37 in the State and #19 in 4A....6 Offensive Starters return as well as 5 on Defense.... While the Spartans dynasty record is 97-66 (64-48 in League), they have gone 60-9-1 since 2012 and have won or shared 3 SPSL titles.... Those games have been under the able tutelage of HC Keith Ross who is in his 18th season.... The teams 2017 record was 10-3 and Offense averaged 39.9 ppg while allowing 16.1.....so far Sumner has outscored opponents 139 points against 78.....The big loss this year is to Puyallup 38-7, then a 2 point win to Curtis 28-26 and a tight 14-10 win to Rogers... To be fair though, the last 3 teams played have a 11-4 record, and Puyallup is a monster this year. Sumner has advanced to the State semis the past 2 seasons..

The past 2 seasons has seen 3 top Div 1 talent graduate.. Connor Wedington is at Stanford, Ben Wilson at TCU and Tre Weed at E Washington.... This year's squad has a young but effective O-Line with Sr Alex Beringer (6'1" 295 lbs) and Frosh OL Andrew Tillett (6'2" 285 lbs) anchoring.... TE Sr John Hopkins (6'2" 260 lbs) is seeing D1 interest but no commit yet..... QB Sr Austin Grondahl has been waiting in the wings the past 2 years, He has a cannon arm... The best player on the offense is RB Bryan Faulk (last year had over 500 yards on ground and over 100 by air).... The teams strength is its Defense, which runs a hybrid 4-2-5 with Dbs regarded as possibly the best in the state.

Camas under HC John Eagle is ranked #21 in State and #10 in the Div..... Team ran a perfect record in 2016 (14-0)to capture the State Championship... I'm not sure what a Papermaker represents but the school hasn't missed a playoff since 2009....The last time Papermakers were 3-2 under HC Jon Eagle was 2007.....The Dynasty record is an outstanding 145-30 (70-8 in League).. The team only returns 3 Offensive Starters and 2 Defensive. Only 1 returning 4A GSHL Selection is K/P/QB Andrew Boyle (he was 37 of 39 on PATs, so he takes his trade seriously.... Camas has outscored opponents with 248 points to 86....

The only player left from the 2016 State Champs is WR/S Sr Shane Jamison (6'4" 215 lbs).... QBs share time in the Offense, with Sr Andrew Boyle passing for 529 yards w/10 TDs on 30 of 58 attempts and has rushed 13 times for 102 yards w/2 TDs.... QB Jake Blair has passed for 488 yards w/5 TDs and has carried 10 times for 60 y w/2 TDs....*Between the two, Boyle is the #1 Option..... RB is by committee with Zach Terry, Blake Deringer, and Randy Yaacoub sharing carries... Yaacoub and Deringer were absent from last year's production as both were out with injuries..... *Deringer returned to High School competition by running his way to the State Finals in Track and Field.... So far, Yaacoub has 37 carries for 181 yards w/6 TDs (caught 3 passes for 23 yards w/1 TD) and Deringer has 126 yards w/2 TDs on 21 rushes... Terry has 21 rushes for 69 yards w/1 TD.......WR Luc Strubelle leads receiving Corp with 15 catches for 310 yards w/7 TDs..... Sr TE/DL David Ingram (6'5" 250 lbs) is drawing interest from D1 schools..*WRs range from 6'4"-6'6"........The O-Line is a strength of the program that features size, strength and good depth.....

Papermakers haven't missed a play-off since 2009....Last year snapped a 7 year reign as League Champs....In last week's opening of 4A GSHL League play, Camas took their anger out on Heritage with a demoralizing W 65-3....Both QBs combined for 220 yards passing w/3 TDs and a 81% completion rate..

So what to do, what to do...... When these two met in 2016 Camas put up 45 points....... Both programs need a win to steer them in the right direction going forward.... I think Camas is firing on all cylinders and even in a Loss to State Power Bellevue (the team that upset the apple cart by stopping DeLaSalle, CA National win streak)... Camas was beating Bellevue before a huge comeback effort and losing in the final seconds on a FG.... Just think Camas is the better team here, but expect Sumner to put up a fight and points..

2 units on the Over 54'. LOSS

1 unit on Camas -10' LOSS

Tulsa/Houston Over 7p.....5 units. LOSS

*Houston Offense is no joke... 2nd in the country in scoring (52.3 ppg) and leads in total offense @ 608.5 ypg... Cougs have put up 45 points in each of 4 games... Love QB D'Eriq King (completing 63% of his passes with a 15-1 TD-INT ratio) and expect him to have a huge game in the National Spotlight.

Tulsa has actually been able to move the ball against opponents however TO have killed production (have coughed up the ball 13 times in 4 games...

Neither teams strength is their Defense.... Tulsa did hold Texas to 28 points but gave up close to 500 yards....

Hello

Hello

Still selling All NAtural Homemade dog treats but wanted to stop by and add a few

Dayton- A home dog to Valpo? Really? I know they lose to Marist but really?
Davidson a 6 point home dog really? Potent offense and they should be able to score. Game should be high scoring.

Elon +37.5; This number opened at 21- HFS that is a lot of movement. Elon is not a chump. They have a QB and they have some pretty good RB's... I think we need 10 to cover.

Cornell +8.5- Lines too big for a live dog. Moneyline also

Sam Houston State -4; The win over UCA IMHO may allow the Bearkats to turn the corner.

Stony Brook +11.5- Line is just too high. Baby Flacco is playing well but hard for me to see this SB team lose by doubles. I like this one.

Weber State pk'em Line opened at 7 and NAU been bet hard. Cookus is still ???? Weber has EWU on deck. I think Weber wins this game.

Eastern Illinois +3.5 ; Murray State not as good as the team that beat UTM last week. I expect this game to be high scoring.

Cal State Sac -4; Do not understand the line movement.

All the dogs except Elon play the moneyline and the ATS. Lets get that money and dont forget to visit us and get your dog treats!!!

www.LaBarkeria.dog Let me know and I can help with shipping or something!

I look forward to your thoughts on the FCS. The line movement is INSANE. Last week was just as crazy... They are moving lines SO FAST and with relatively smallish bets...
Stony Brook is up to 13.. WOW

Well Camas laid an egg and 1 td short on the Houston game made Thurs a ruff (for u Musca) outing Thurs night.

So far tonight..

4 pm
W Florida 40'
Pine Forest -13

2 units played on W Florida. WIN
*Big rivalry between the two and campuses sit on top of each other so kids know each other well and in rivalry games I like the Dogs and lean to the Under (however 40 isn't ideal..... In last years game W Fla Jaguars won 17-7 so have to be aware of the Revenge factor.

West Florida is coming off a bye week and features WR Keion Burrell who has caught a TD in each game.... Pine Forest Eagles sit at 4-1 and has bruising RB Anwar Lewis *Sr rushed for 216 yards last week w/3 TDs *The 5'8" 170 lb rusher has made Player of the Game 4 times in 5 games..... The Defense has two studs in DE TJ McCall and DB Devon Witherspoon (5 picks).. Both are highly recruited.

6 pm

Bishop Dunne 68
St Pius X -3'

2 units on Pius -3' WIN
1 unit on Under 68 WIN

Think Pius is the better team and the price is right... Pius is ranked higher than Dunne in the State and Div.... Both teams are TAPPS and these private schools can be tricky but QB Sr Grant Gunnell has passed for 530 yards w/6 TDs in last weeks loss to PrestonWood Christian in a 48-57 shootout (Gunnell is dual threat) and has able highly recruited WRs in Boobie Curry and Chase Lane (13 Rec for 152 yards w/1 TD) ........ Panthers returned 6 Off Starters and 5 Def Starters from a 10-2 team... *Pius won last year 35-28......

Bishop Dunne Falcons are 3-2 and have 7 Offensive Starters and 8 Def Starters back from a 6-5 team... QB M Yelverton has passed for 533 yards w/7 TDs on 43-76 attempts..... Dunne averages 28.8 points per game while Pius averages 45......

This one could be a shootout so tread carefully with that total..

A couple of CA games tonight

Sacred Heart Cathedral 45
ST Ignatius -3

2 units on the Under...LOSS.. Ended 26-21
*Battle of the San Francisco teams in the Fog... Kinda an exercise in futility as neither are a threat to make playoffs but the rivalry rocks and is one of the oldest this side of the Rockies...... Expect a low scoring defensive battle here... Lean to Ignatius

Culver city70
Lawndale -12

2 units on the Culver Centaurs WIN
*Lawndale is no slouch and has a fantastic run game with 4 Star RB Jordan Wilmore (5'8" 200 lbs) (headed to USC).... Cardinals run the ball to the tune of 256 ypg.... Team is 4-2 but beat a highly regarded Sierra Canyon 25-22 and had losses to Calabasas and Narbonne Harbor (both very good teams)...

Culver gets their starting QB back and has a 5-1 record, with a 1 point loss to Palos Verdes 37-36....Culver City loves to pass the ball averaging 325 ypg and has a team total offense of 530 ypg..... Granted Lawndale has played the tougher schedule and Culver was 11-2 last year and lost to Lawndale 33-14.....but I like Centaurs to stay within the number here.

1 unit on Under 70....WIN ....Lawndale run game will speed this game up.... And Cardinals D has been solid.

Excellent call on Davidson.... I took it at the last moment and combined with that easy Dayton win started the day right

Looking at the box the game does not look like a 24 point Win by Towson. I know it is empty but... Killed 2 nice parlays I had going!

SB special team were awful. Net Punt yardage and the opening kickoff return for a TD was garbage. Baby Flacco is nice but not this nice.
