HU card question

When Hu was up and running a friend had his card tested. I told him to keep his phone line unplugged. He had his ppv cleared a few times and everything went good till HU went down. When it went down he went back to the P4 CARD.(He was a subscriber).
I get a phone call from him today saying he just got his bill from Dave and it included $370 for porn orders for 1 week in the beginning of the year. (On a side note..how can anyone watch that much porn??) He wanted to know how that happened. I told him I didnt have a clue but would try to find out.

After thinking about it I came to only 2 possible ways..
1. Somehow his reciever remembered what was ordered and sent the info in when the P4 card was in. He hasnt had a problem like this before so I am leaning towards this not happening.

2. The fool put in his old HU card recently (why is anybodys guess) and even though the stream is down everything he had ordered in the past got sent in because he forgot to unplug his phone line.
Any ideas out there what could have went wrong???

So far no one seems to know how it could have happened so I thought I would ask here.

Thanks

.....

BTW, the reboot command is different on each receiver. "Arrow Up, Power On/Off", I don't know what brand of receiver that would be for, but I have never heard of that one. For an RCA DRD420RE it's "Hold down right arrow and Power button simultaneously for 4 seconds".

$370 in porn. LOL You can get all 5 channels for a 6-hour block for only $12 or $15 or something like that. Was this guy ordering and whacking non-stop for a week??

Trossi...I could see that happening but what dosent make sense to me is he had his phone line plugged in since the day HU went down and he went back to his P4. He has also made PPV purchases the ligit way since that time without a problem. (probably from going thru porn withdrawels..LOL)I have talked to others that were legit and tested at the same time and they have not had a problem. This is a extremely wierd.

Gm..he has a son thats 21 and non-working. If he would have put as much effort into looking for a job as he did watching porn he would have had a hell of a job by now.

I talked to him today and he swears that no one put in the HU card. Im having a hard time believing that because when I asked him where it was he said it was sitting on top of the reciever. I asked him what he was saving it for because its only good as an ice scrapper. Answer...I dont know.  I told him not to call about the charges because they will know what card was used and when they find out it was his subscribed one they will know exactly what happened. I will have to wait and see what he does.

I am leaning towards him of putting in the Hu card after the stream was down because the charges are from the beginning of the year before the stream went down. I dont know how he did his card swap but i figure if the PPv was transferred to the P4 he should have gotten charged the very 1st month not 4 months later. Also I dont think the stream being down would stop him from getting charged because the billing process is thru the phone line..not the stream itself.

On another note...Has anyone tried out the Pansat2500 yet?? Ive read about as much as I could and finally ordered one. In fact Ive read so much that I think my eyes are going to bleed. Its scheduled to arrive Friday. It dosent seem to difficult to hook up and run but I know there will be a learning curve. I am going to start out the easy way..only 1 sat and then move up from there.
