Had a good first two days and have been treading water and giving a little back since then.
Pepperdine +14.5
On paper UCLA is the more talented team. These games mean so much more to the local underdogs than they do to UCLA. Dragovic is suspended again for UCLA. In the long term I think that's a good thing for the program. More time for the Frosh to gain experience when next year will be a push toward a Final 4. On paper there are two things that stand out for this one. Defensively Pepperdine defends the perimeter well and doesn't let their opponents get good looks from downtown. UCLA has been awful from 3 point range thus far and is not getting to the free throw line enough. Pepperdine has a small guard, Bell who will penetrate at will against this Bruin defense.
SDSU -3.5
The Aztecs didn't fare well in their first road game against St Mary's. The key to this game is that Coach Fisher is featuring a fullcourt press this season as one of his base defenses. Fresno is coming off a loss to Seattle U, their first time back in D-I in over 30 years. Seattle U is a small scrappy team that presses/traps the entire floor. Fresno struggled with that and SDSU has much better athletes than Seattle.
Interested to see the box score/highlights of the Tenn/Purdue game. You have a top 10 defense (Tenn) as far as TO% against a top 25 offense as far as lowest TO% (Purdue).
