The Salukis, however, face a huge challenge in this game as they will be without junior forward Matt Shaw, who averages 11.5 points and 5.7 rebounds on the year. Guards Bryan Mullins and Jamaal Tatum are decent ballhandlers, but the rest of the team struggles with turnovers. Southern Illinois commits 2.3 more turnovers per game than assists. The other problem for the Salukis is their lack of depth and that will really be put to the test in this game without Shaw. Tony Boyle is the only option off the bench in the frontcourt and will likely be forced to start in this game.

Playing the waiting game because I am thinking this will drop to 4.5 if not lower. there is no doubt about it I like the guard play from the Vols and applaud Bruce Peal for the great job that he has done. The Buckeye's are not that shabby at guard themselves, but I was sold on this. The Vols are weak down low and so the Buckeyes can feed the big man and at the same time open up the outside shots. The Vols are going to have to shoot very well from the outside to win this since they will have nobody inside to score with.

Tennessee:
1-7 ATS away off an Under
8-25 ATS in tournament games (you don't have this number for any reason but the obvious)

Ohio State:
7-1 ATS in tournament games
8-2 ATS away after winning 15+ of their last 20 games

The Volunteers are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games as an underdog, but just 1-7 ATS L/8 on a neutral court as an underdog. Tennessee is 8-25 ATS L/33 tournament games. Buckeyes are 5-1 ATS in their L/6 neutral site games. Ohio State is 7-1 ATS L/8 tournament games.


The Buckeyes are a very deep club and will be able to out last the Vols tonight. I really think the Vols may keep it close early but that eye opener against Xavier will have the Buckeye's very ready for this game.
