As most of you know i am a college basketball player but I do follow the nfl and ncaa football but I am no as gifted in those areas. I am from CONN and have lived in FL for the past 5 years but alot of my old betting buddies and ex-teammates still attend UCONN.

Just like I thought when I saw this game they thought the line was gonna be 13 or 14. The Uconn program has made leaps and bounds over the last couple years and they have become a AVERAGE DIVISION 1 FOOTBALL TEAM.

They could beat the lower half of division 1 but when you play a top 25 or even top 45 team like WVA with the skilll players they have you would have to play the best game of your lives just stay within a touchdown.

My friends say the feeling aorund campus that they get is that the players are pumped up for the game of-course but they dont know if the confidence is there to compete with a top 20 team who is trying to salvage there season after a devastating loss VA TECH. One of my freinds has a class with one of the defensive tackles and he told them " them boys can run"

I think W VA IS GONNA TAKE OUT THIER ANGER ON MY POOR UCONN HUSKIES. The one GOOD TEAM UCONN PLAYED WAS BC AND THEY GOT SMOKED 27-7.

I am also from CT and follow Uconn in football and basketball pretty close. I think this game will be a blow out as well. This is a perfect time for West Virginia to snap out and destroy. 35-14

WV was 0-13 on 3rd down conversions their last game... :scared . I know UConn's "D" isn't VT's, but that is flat out terrible. I see the Huskies being very pumped up for this and making a game out of it! We'll see....

frankly, i dont see it. west virginia is not going to be confused with miami and florida state when it comes to team speed. wvu program has taken big time steps, but i dont think uconn is outclassed here. and for all this talk about wvu and a bcs bowl game, theyve done nothing on offense to prove theyre worthy of it. 19 pts and 13 pts in your only two real games this season?

i have no opinion on this game yet, but some might find this info interesting..........

wv rushing attack is on a downward spiral.....going.


478...to 235...to 220...to 171....to 134 yards.

they averaged 49 ppg in their first 3 games but 16 ppg vs. maryland & vt.

plus their top runner is not playing.

conn. has a pro caliber qb & a good runner to compliment him. their rushing defense is also very good.

statfox rates strength of schedule as.....

wv....22.2.....conn.....20.8

i think that i just talked myself into looking into the dog.(lol)

however,there are many cappers on the net, who have good records taking wv.

just throwing this out there....UConns best d-lineman Tyler King broke his right leg against Pitt. He was the only Pass rush UConn had against Pitt. With him out they will be forced to blitz to generate pressure

I do not think WVU is UVA or Oklahoma but they are not Pitt and looking back on that game UConn was lucky to come out of the game with a win. Pitt's defense is horrible...they have allowed 20 plus points to Temple, Furman and UConn!!!!

WVU defense isn't great but they are good and fast! VT is a harder place to play than UConn and aside from the blocked FG for a TD the WVU defense held VT without a touchdown. Just my thoughts

I am locking and loading on WV. my biggets play in a while.

if I am wrong I am wrong. These type of games I cannot get upset if I lose becuase I am 150% in love with WV. In the words of Ivan Drago "if he dies, he dies"

I think this is like the 3rd time this year Uconn has been on one of these ESPN weknight games :rolleyes: I have watched the Uconn QB and thogh he gets a lot of hype I am not impressed. He throws high, wide, overthrows wide open recievers. Now that I have said that he will probably set some kind of national record tonight for completions yards and touchdowns. My money was down on monday with WV -7 :scared
