Mgr at kroger called me Sunday .. They filled up 2 55 gallon drums in 24 hrs...went and unloaded..
Went by yesterday..1 drum 3/4 full in 12 hrs:SIB

UPDATE:
we are 2.5 weeks in and have had some good success...
went to a local Kroger yesterday from 12-4..
they wanted to support SFF...
we filled 1.5 55 gallon drums and collected 135.00 in donations, which goes into the 'pot' for the Kids BackPack Program...

the food in plastic bags was colllected yesterday..
everything else has come from another Kroger..5 55 gallon drums so far....:00hour

We did well, but we could have done better. I have learned alot serving as chairman and have already put my name in for next year.
Saturday, collection day, was the coldest day of the year :facepalm: , temp in the teens with wind chill. Many residents stayed indoors and didn't get out to shop at the Krogers where we were collecting.
Total lbs collected... 18,359 lbs.
Monies collectd...527.00...MJ rocks
total meals.... 19, 678.
