Last year my wife & I checked off one on our bucket list & booked a non-hunting safari for 2 wks. in Kenya & Tanzania. This was possibly the greatest experience of my life. To just stand on the continent of Africa where I believe it all started was amazing. I'm not going to bore you but we were able to see the big 5 many times over, the start of the great migration in Tanzania & viewed ( not climbed ) Mt. Kilimanjaro . We were also able to meet Masai tribal familys & many local farmers. My views on game hunting are zero tolerance especially with the corrupt governments who supposedly regulate game hunting. We received a taste of reality during a morning drive of a elephant killed by poachers for Ivory. We have since donated to the care of baby elephants & rhinos that their mother was killed by poachers or predators. I feel bad for the guide that was killed but silently root for the elephant.
