According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Soleimani ?was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region. General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more.

?He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months ? including the attack on December 27th ? culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week,? the DOD added in a statement released Thursday evening.

Trump just doing his job. It would be nice if he had some support instead of all the democrats trying to use every move he makes an impeachable act.

He said the only reason to start a war with Iran is if the President has no ability to negotiate, which makes him weak and ineffective. His words.

I remember another administration telling us we had to attack Iraq because the had WMDs. It turned out to be an excuse to get the public behind their desire to remove Saddam from power. I wonder if Trump has any reasons to turn the country's attention away from what's happening domestically?

If HE starts a war with Iran, he's a great counter puncher. If Obama started a war with Iran, he was a terrible negotiator who was weak and ineffective as President. I got it now.

Fox News employed John Bolton for 11 years until he was hired by Trump to work for him at the WH. Bolton was fired for not supporting the president's extortion of a foreign leader for personal political. Bolton will release a memoir that details this and discredits Trump's Impeachment defense (specifics already leaked, lol).

Now, Fox News and other right wing media outlets are calling Bolton a "tool for the Left". :142smilie
