Didn't Gamestop just come out with a story that they won't be able to fulfill all their preorders?
Boy its gonna rain like a son of a bitch over here. I might just go out and laugh at these suckers or maybe soakers. Talking about a small tornado. Winds are starting to howl. I hate to be out in that crap without some sort of protection.
I just called GAMESTOP and im #1 on the list and guaranteed to get mine tomorrow! EBAY here I come!!
even podunk Bowling Green has tents and a line this morning of already 26 deep at Best Buy. :com: I just talked to a friend who works there, and she said they have not even told them how many there will be for sale. I thought I would be slick and get her to put my name in, but that didn't work, lol! She said they can't even get them, and I asked her about this first over a month ago.
i have a good friend who is a manager at the comp usa. this is ABSOLUTELY CORRECT.
BUT THE DEAL IS YOUR ON THE PREORDER LIST AND THERE IS NO GUARANTEEWHEN YOU WILL GET YOUR PS3. I HEARD FROM HIM THAT THE ORDER DATE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO A UNDETERMINED DATE. BUT YOU WILL GET ONE MOST LIKELY AFTER CHRISTMAS.....AND FROM WHAT I HEARD YOU GET THE PS3 BASIC UNIT FOR FREE WITH THE PURCHASE OF ANY SONY 40" HDTV THAT YOU BUY. SO IT WOULDNT BE A BAD DEAL IF YOU GOT IT BEFORE CHRISTMAS..BECAUSE YOU COULD SELL THE UNIT FOR WHAT THE TV COST YOU AND GET THE TV TO KEEP FOR FREE.
not me got up around 4:30 and drove around to a couple sams clubs and targets too many people there already.
A few points that I am sure some will disagree with, but:
1. Yes, they are stupid for camping out, but to each his own, I used to do it for concert tickets, it was dumb then and it's dumb now but it's your life and your time, whatever.
2. The argument on local radio is how much of a moral decay it is that people are paying homeless people to stand in line for them. I don't see how that is so terrible. If you wan't to pay your grandma to stand there for three days and she needs the bingo money I don't think it's a problem. Why not pay the homeless people to do it?
3. At my local Wal-Mart they let people stay in the store since Monday, MONDAY! They have sleeping bags and pillows in the electronics dept and the line was already longer than they had supply of systems for. They let these unshowered freaks stay for three nights and then till midnight last night and were OK with it. Let a homeless guy wander in becasue it's cold or raining out and he will be shown the door in under 20 minutes.

My local Wal-Mart is open 24 hours a day. My question is this:
What gives the "squatters" first dibs on the games? Also, you know some places around the country, there will be some cat who just walks up from his car at opening time, and tries to "rush the door"!!!!!

Got my PS3 today - was supposed to get a 20GB however once person could not pick up their 60GB and I was next in line - so got the 60GB - hope to get some nice cash out of it.
The next person in line was called to see if he wanted it.
16 PS3's were pre-ordered the day EB did them. I was #9 in line.
When Sony cut the PS3 shipments we were getting 10 - 8 of which were 60GB. I was #9 in line so they told me that if someone did not pick up their 60GB or could not pay for it, then I would get it since I was next in line.
One of the guys must not of paid or could not afford it so I got the 60GB.
The next person in line was called for the 20GB.
