i dunno, does it matter more that peyton is the best and has no defense? I mean isnt Rivers better than steve dilfer????

Kurt Warner won in his first year ... well he had thrown 11 passes the previous year

Brady won in his first season ... well, he did throw 3 passes the previous year

I dont wanna think too hard for others but Rivers being young wont be SDs problem IMHO ...

fwiw rivers was 17/30 in his previous two years

take care

Mav this kid is gonna be a stud and from what i have seen for his age i would take him over anyone iin the league. He has everything. Size, arm, accuracy, and he can move a little. Now will he choke because of his age? Maybe. I know one thing if he makes the superbowl there is no way he could possible play as bad as big Ben did. That might have been the sorriest excuse for quarterbacking i ever seen in a superbowl. I think he is head and shoulder above where Big Ben is now.

It might be worth a bet.

It's certainly not a longshot. Maybe 6-1?

not a chance.

wsex is 2.57 to 1

pinny is 2.65 to 1

oly is 2.35 to 1

the best future i saw on the bears is 5.15 to 1 at oly. might be a decent bet to bet both of them because one of these two teams if not both will have home field going to the superbowl and one should definitely get in. you can lock in omney or hedge then.

Let's not forget Rothliesberger last year also.

Take it from a Giant fan, I was not happy with the trade of Rivers for Manning because I got to see a lot of Rivers at NC State. I aslo wasn't happy with trading the 1st rounders which turned out to be some guy named Shawne Merriman. How'd he tuirn out??? LOL

I put a small bet on SD +750 to win it all about a month ago so my opinion may be somewhat biased, but the guy is showing he is the real deal. Whether he shows up in the playoffs remains unknown but it's tough to rule out a guy with such in an insane running game and a solid D. (a la Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore with Dilfer as well as others). Even after Grossman's performane the other night I would still rather have a young Rivers in there over Rex any day of the week. That said, Chicago's gonna be tough to beat on their own turf)

Not only is Rivers the real deal, having the (arguably) best rb and tight end, their offense has been great. And please notice their offensive line gives him lots of time to throw, and he's very accurate...I'm a long time Chargers fan (from the 70's) and I'm lovin it!

Betting-wise, the question is who from the AFC can beat them in San Diego (assuming home-field thru playoffs)?

Colts? Chargers defense has given them fits the last few years with their strong rush

Ravens? Maybe... McNair can have some big games, but Chargers might put up more pts...

Pats? Chargers handled them last year @ NE, and Chargers are stronger this year and NE is not...

Would not like to see Cinn, just because they can score alot of pts... but they do give up alot too :)

who can beat sd in the playoffs?

anybody not coached by marty schottenheimer
:mj07:

first sd needs to clinch a bye, then a 1 seed otherwise they will have three games

but, assuming a 1-2 seed here's how i see it

balt in the afc title game, already beat sd and have the defense

cincy in sd first game, wouldnt want to see this team if i were a charger fan

ne, just because of billecheck and brady's history (team actually looks like crap right now)

indy is done vs whoever they play in their first game

jax sd should handle them

any of the other potential wild card teams would get destroyed by sd
