My Take on the game

My Take on the game

is that Illinois will win a close one...

I see it this way - NC had a real tough time with Wisconsin - true they ended up winning by 6 (not a blowout), but Wisky was in the game until the final minute.

Illinois beat Wisky twice - both times were never in doubt...

I believe Illinois is a better coached team that plays well under adversity and the national spotlight.

I see NC becoming unglued very easily if they get down in this game - too many of their players will try to take over the game, as they view themselves as big time NBA players - and that's what NBA players do, right?

I just think NC is too full of themselves to win the big game. But that's what will make Monday so interesting - we'll find out then!

I am waiting to try and get 3 or 3.5 by monday. I have bet with and against the Illini this year and am not a homer. The reasons I am taking Illinois.

1. Illini play better overall team ball. I don't like saying they are better coached because I like Roy and think he is really good coach, but it seems the UNC's players seem to not listen at times while Weber has a good handle almost constantly on his guys.

2. Again about UNC's players who at times play uninterested or have their head up their ass and don't follow Roy's game plan.

3. Illini's patience on offense will frustrate UNC and cause them to take quick wild shots on offense on their end to speed the game up. Illini should slow it down and play half court game. I don't think UNC has the consistency or patience to play that kind of game, but if it goes up tempo it should be a game to remember.

4. guard play- UNc has some good guards but the famous 3 headed monster of Illinois should come up big as that is what college ball is all about. I don't think there is a better point guard in Deron Williams right now where he leads the offense and played some great defense against Louisville.

5. Defense- I think the Illini's defense is under rated. Arizona is the only team to score over 70 on them. Where UNC has quickness on defense but play unispired and has lapses where I feel they think they can overcome it with their explosive offense.

Things I don't like.

1. UNC big men should be able to dominant, the only thing I see helping the Illini is they have good help defense although Louisville went to the hole alot against them.

2. UNC has the ability and explosiveness to score in bunches. Illini can score with their 3 point shooters and did overcome a 15 point deficeit with 5 minutes to go but that was against Ariz who doesn't play a whole lot of offense.

So hopefully the Illini win and my brother who goes to school there will stop calling after every big play. This should be quite an exciting game, but IF I can get at least 3 or 3.5 I will take Illinois.Otherwise I will take something on the total and just play the bar tickets.

They actually played Wisconsin 3 times and they all were close especially the game at Wisconsin and the tourney game........I dnot know what games you were watching........but to say these games were never in doubt is false.........

What I am saying is that I am certain that if I asked every Tarhole fan at the start of the season if Santa Clara had a chance in the season opener, I GUARAUNTEE you would have said they have no chance of winning and I would be burning my money to bet against them. I'm not going to get in a pissing match with a Tarhole fan here because you are all the same and can never admit that your not the SUPERPOWER that you all think you are. They are human and can lose on any given day or the NCAA would have just given them the trophy at the start of the season and just said we are going to save everyone the chance of getting hurt because you can't beat Carolina anyway, just ask any Carolina fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Felton didnt play in the Santa Clara game. That was HUGE. He is the heart n sole of that team... plus that was in week 1 of college ball.. cmon now

Either you have it and can react to the situation at that moment, or you can't. You got beat by a better team on that day!! Deal with it. Give me a break if you think that one player makes the team.
