Where it is real F ing COLD
I never thought there were fans as delusional as you guys but I have to take it back. I was delusional about the Vikes having a chance but the fans I met are quite insane.
They are called the VWO- Viking World Order, it's a group of guys lead by the big guy you see in the end zone with the big muscles. He used to lift Moss and Moss even sent him to Nee England for a Mnf game, back to the story. To be in this group you must be (get this) nominated by 12 members and be "knighted." Oh Boy. I partied with the group cause my buddies friend wanted a ride. This friend spent most of the day looking for the, "commander" I'm like wtf? The commanded? These guys dress up with helmets, masks and there was even the trio of Freddy, Jason. and Meyers with Viking logos. What that has to do is beyond me. After about an hour the guy finally found the commander and wouldn't rest until I had pics taken with some of the dudes. Also these guys where purple camo pants and what have you. This is really not my style, I'm as nuts a fan as anyone but I don't need a full costume.
Here was the tough part , these guys are talking in a group and bringing up stats, scores, and false info. These guys were bragging up just about every player who I think stinks. These guys are odd ducks with goofy opinions. If they weren't wearing purple I would swear I was in Green Bay

On the course!
Packer fans are idiots.

They live and die on every play! All I heard in pre-season was the yap, yap, yap, of Super Bowl talk. After week 1, "we" were the worst team in the NFL, the coaching staff needed to be fired five seasons ago, etc.

Yesterday was new hope. We'll kick New York's ass!...........Until they started kicking "ours". Then it started all over. "McCarthy sucks!" Rodgers is shit........who drafted those assholes??.....and so it went. People wanted blood!

Then the Pack turned it around, and everyone is dancing in the streets again!

Idiots.

Viking fans yesterday were calling for 11-5 type season, now it's 4-12. I heard "Matt Cassle is a good quarterback." I'm like please, this team won't be a real contender until and if Teddy is a star.

I find that funny about your accounts with packer fans cause the ones on this board believe nothing is wrong in Packerland and everything is fine. The reason- cause they do better than Minnesota. Never any objectivity

Peaks and valleys.
As a packer fan there will be 20 more times this year I want capers fired.
Every fan base is the same. I'm sure b.p there will be times
This season yet that you say, hey we could sneak in to the playoffs if?
Then there will be times like yesterday when you think your local high school
Qb is better than cassel.
Peterson hurts, he is a stick mover, and without him as you know, they are
F-ed.
If you look at the teams that make the playoffs year in and year out, there is one
Constant, they all have better than average qb's.
Bp I know you hate the packers, and you should, but if a-rod was your qb, you
Would love him.
In 5 years teddy could be a top 10 qb and minny could be 12-4 every year, and gb could be
7-9.
I want to thank you for your north breakdowns every week.
I know we have been going back in forth lately about our teams
And who stinks more, and which team sucks more, but nothing but respect
To you on my end.
Its football, we are supposed to talk shit to each other. Lol

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
I feel your pain, hard to be a rabid fan.

I feel your pain, hard to be a rabid fan.

I have been a Browns fan for decades...maybe we have a ray of genuine hope this year.

Stumbled into this article, hope it helps your mine set; after all, sporting events are here simply to placate the masses.

Good luck with Vikes rest of the year....me, I like Green Bay, made the pilgrimage to Lambeau several years ago....I totally relished the experience.
Their fans GET football.

Ardent sports fans will hold onto the passion for their team no matter what. However, even the truest of the true fans may find that their faith is tested when things aren't going well for their beloved team.

Social psychologists have identified two patterns of reactions that sports fans have to their team's performance. Here, we'll explore them as well as several related psychological concepts that apply to the behavior of fans, true and fickle.

First, let's look at "BIRGing." This term is not a typo of an eating disorder, but applies to the phenomenon called "Basking in Reflected Glory." When your team is doing well, you feel great.

Research shows that on the day after a team's win, people feel better about themselves. They say "we" won, and by "we," they don't mean themselves, personally. The closer you identify with the team, the more likely you are to BIRG. People who BIRG also are more likely to wear their team's regalia on the day after a victory.

Yesterday I had Puker fans talking about how Rodgers isn't the same player he was before he won a Super Bowl. That some how he has gotten soft and afraid.

The Puker fans are the worst, if they lose there is the built in excuse. If they win, its Super Bowl.

The whole season is a nightmare for people that are not Green Bay fans but live in Wisconsin

I'm a huge Packer fan, but I don't live or die by how they play their games. I have my family and understand what's really important in life I guess. Not sure who these crazy Packer fans are you guys are talking about, or where they hang out, but it sounds like there may be alot of drinking involved!

He is obviously a fan of a losing team and is jealous of the Packers success.

Yes Packer fans do live and die on every play. That doesn't make them idiots it makes them a passionate fan base. Grow up. They are an exposed team right now I agree, but don't sleep on them just yet. Their division is horrible.

The topic has been discussed no less than a hundred times on here. Your analysis is solid and we all know you are a Viking fan that lives near and socializes with crazy Packer fans. But enough already. We get it.
