... About benching Tebow and playing someone who can actually throw a spiral. Use him as a gimmick or a decoy on certain plays.

Fox would be a genius if he trotted out Quinn with no media attention. Pitt would have wasted all that time prepping for Tebow and the broncos would probably win the game. Pitt is vulnerable. Elway and fox should have some balls and five their team the best chance to win and stop pandering to the fans.

I would live to see Denver win this game, but Tebow is just so bad, it is hard to believe he can do it.

funny, just said the same thing to a buddy of mine this afternoon. Half time if Teebows not effective they bring in Quinn and he lights up the pitt d and Denver wins the game. Actually took denver in a pool to pull the upset. Two totally different quarterbacks and different looks. May work!

NO chance they bring in Quinn, he hasn't thrown a pass in a game in almost 2 years...

Tebow either ends game as a hero or like 31 other starting QB's in the league as a non champion...

Look, Jord et al, there is no bigger Bronco fan than me. Been backing the orange since 77 when I was 9...he is not as terrible as you guys make him out to be. He's certainly not great and for the most part he needs A LOT of work on his passing. I'd take him over many QB's in the league and I'm certainly happy the Broncos at least made the post season for the first time in a long time. I can guarantee you unless you've seen EVERY snap of every game this year, you have not watched more Bronco game footage than me. He had a stretch where he was showing glimpses of getting better but he has certainly regressed over the last couple weeks. The Steeler D will certainly pose problems for him and I doubt very much he completes 50% of his passes, but I think they have a shot of at least making a game of it. I don't see the Steelers lighting up the scoreboard and they have some key injuries.

You can crap on me all you want (I can certainly take it) after the game saying you knew it, and how bad he is, and how terrible the Broncos are without him. The fact still remains they are in the playoffs because of a good D, a great running game (due to the fact they run 65% of the time), and some clutch plays from a guy you love to hate....

I want to give the experiment another year. It certainly can't get any worse than winning your first 6 games of the season and NOT making the playoffs...

I hope you all make a bundle the rest of the way in the playoffs

I don't disagree with you Dr., the KC d shut down the pack and Rogers so not suprised they did the same to Teebow. What concerns me a bit though it he looked timid in this game, didn't have the confidence he showed in the past. In a futures bet I had Denver over in victories, to win the division and have them to win the conference, so I definitely owe the kid (and the chargers) thanks and hope #15 does well.

I certainly hope they pull the upset. Good luck to ya man!

He looks timid because Fox doesn't have the confidence in him. When they were down last week in the 4th quarter I think they ran the ball on 9 consecutive plays or something awful like that. Fox has every right to not have confidence in him since he only completes 46% of his passes.

Elway gave him his blessing today to just let it loose. Reeves used to hold Elway down too and their relationship ---well we know how that ended up.

Extremely tough match-up for them facing the #1 D in the league but sometimes controlled chaos brings success...As long as they make it competitive I will consider this season a blessing---in fact I already do...if not oh well Spring Training starts in like 10 weeks...:mj07:

So. Cal
actually, he is that bad

his "progression" came against a BAD viking secondary and vs a bunch of teams playing soft prevent defense up dd in the 4th quarter.....the fairy dust magic carpet ride is over and the gig is up.

personally, i think he's a winner and a great kid but right now, in all honesty, he's the WORST throwing starting qb in the nfl....and it's not even close.

Just poking some fun at you, but I do not know how you can be the biggest Bronco fan yet pull behind the Pack as much as you do? I think true passionate fans only have 1 team but that's just me..

I think you are delusional about Tebow.. There is a reason why other teams laugh about it and why Elway doesn't want him at QB? Not hating the guy, the guy just is not a good QB. I would still want him on my team though.. He can play like an H back or tight end..

agree. while a nice idea, Quinn isnt ready. If they still had Orton, then putting Kyle back in would have been a great ploy by Denver. Denver isnt winning the SB this year, so they might as well keep taking looks at Tim. Quinn will never ever ever be the answer for any team

Also, the Tebow-fans would have a total revolt if he got yanked. You thought Tea-Partiers and Occupiers are bad.... :nono:

1 issue...this is his second year. he should be improving. He hasnt. The biggest reason is teams have more film on them and are catching on. It also helped that Denver played some terrificly bad teams during that stretch...and that some teams basically gave the game to the Broncos (see Bears, Chicago)

You can crap on me all you want (I can certainly take it) after the game saying you knew it, and how bad he is, and how terrible the Broncos are without him. This is why SF is in the playoffs. They got a good coach, and they improved on dee, running, special teams and (shockingly) QB. SF is doing it better on all fronts though.

It's a good strategy but I'm not sure it's going to be a SB winning strategy. Without a top QB, most teams will never get far. Things have changed since Dilfer led Baltimore to the SB.

I want to give the experiment another year. It certainly can't get any worse than winning your first 6 games of the season and NOT making the playoffs...

I disagree. You give Tim up until week 1 of 2012 to prove he is the guy. Otherwise there needs to be someone who can make passes and run an offense. If you have a QB that cant make routine passes, teams will exploit that every single down and Denver will lose just like they did the last 3 weeks

You must have me confused with someone else, I do not back the pack...can't remember ever talking about them either, but do a lot of drunk posting...

I sure hope JESUS celebrated his birthday like a rock star and can now get back to what's important here and attend at least one more bronco game

i think it may have been someone else with a broncos avatar...

but i remember it too...

someone talked about their passion for the broncos, and in the next breath claimed to be the biggest pack fan in the world...

and i thought the same thing BP said.

back to tebow,

he isnt a great passing QB, we all know that, but he does a lot for the broncos. If he can complete 15 or 20 passes, and they can continue to run the rock, what the hell, they could hang with pitt. I watch a lot of pitt games. if they just throw it at Gay everytime, tebow will complete 70%. Gay sucks. I honestly beleive tebow gets his guys to play at another level, and that is why they were able to win. If he can get these guys to continue to play at that same level, who knows. I have seen a lot of bad games by QB's, where their team still won the game. It could happen again. I will most likely not be on the game as far as a side, but dont be totally suprised if denver hangs around. With the style they play, they can be in a lot of games come the 4th quarter. I AM NOT A FAN OF TEBOW AS FAR AS A LONG TERM QB IN THE LEAGUE. but, he got em to the playoffs, no way you can bench him now after the way the season started and how he rallied the troops. Gotta give him a shot. If it wasnt for him, you wouldnt be here...

Jord, you know i feel the same as you about tebow and his talent as a passer, but no way they bench him in this spot.

I would love to see him beat pitt. doubt it happens, but think the 7.5 looks good right now

Me too Addict, but it isn't likely and probably not probable. I grabbed 9 yesterday, under at 34 and teased them with the Saints (10 pointer)....If it's a blowout and a shootout I get crushed--wouldn't be the first time nor the last...

good luck everyone (well except you Pitt backers--maybe I'll be with you next week vs the Pats:popcorn2 )

I think Denver wins the game, Pitt is overrated, Ben is hurt and no running game, Denver d is good...I may be wrong but a team getting almost 10 points at home in the playoffs I will take my chances, Tebow is not that bad

I am a Pitt fan and am sure to bet this game with my heart a bit. Big mistake I know, but what the Hell, its the playoffs! And I think the Steelers D outscores the Denver O. #43 will scare the bejesus out of Tebow when he dances around the line of scrimmage. Steelers have so much experience and will be sure to bring their A game for this one as they win easy, 31-10. Sorry to all you home dog backers.
