What she's trying to tell you, is that she's not very original. That she doesn't really have a philosophy on life of her own, but figures if she rips off a few quotes she read in class, she will sound enlightened, and deep.

I'm pretty sure that if you asked her to explain what these quotes meant to her, she would have no idea. It's the gobbledygook of a young college mind. You should concentrate on getting laid, and not worry about some ex's insecure state of mental health.
