krc: I define a spot play as races I am playing that I have spotted from all the cards I've loked at for that day. These are plays that offered real value in my opinion from the morning Line. Yesterday's plays are a perfect example, even though they were losers). The ML's were way off what the animal's final post time odds were.

Today at Ft Erie a well intentioned shipper from Woodbine drops into a 5 f Maiden 10,000 claimer. Inside posts at 5/8 at the Fort have shown an extreme bias advantage. This 4 year old needs a W and it looks like the drive down the highway for the 17th lifetime start will be what the doctor ordered. All systems are go

Just wanted to post that Mr. Mistoffelees is running in the 4th @Belmont today.This 1.5 million dolar purchase broke his maiden 1st out widening to 9 lengths at KEE running 4.5 f. He stretches to 5.5 f for this 100K stakes for 2 year olds. No wager for me as the horse will be 3/5, but he's one to watch.

I don't think we'll get 12/1 at post, but 5/1 or 6/1 is still a great price on a horse that will appreciate a speed battle up front. He'll be close enough to pick up the pieces after the speed collapses and there will be speed because his trainer has entered one of the speedballs(a seperate enrty)

Horse goes off as the lukewarm fav in a very tough race @ 7/2. Winner was the fav in the pick 3 pool so smart shoppers might have picked up the exacta. I did not. No one ever said I was smart!

Interesting race with the King of Arlington, Catalano, running a recent claim. If Macey's Cinderella gets the typical 30 point improvement that only the master can provide it may still not be enough to beat Mott's Elle Society. She has hit the board in 5/7 lifetime starts, is running for the 3rd time off a layoff and has the services of Rene Douglas who does not miss the spots he is not supposed to miss. There are others in here who have a right to be involved and I'll be playing some exactas with them as well.
