by Louisville. Texas goes to #3 and LVille at 4.

Computers are all over the map. We are gonna have big controversy no matter what I think.

Mich-OSU loser, LVille/Rutgerw winner, Texas, and SEC survivor of Aub/Ark/Fla all have cases.

I throw out Cal as Tenn loss looks worse now and beating USC wont be enough style points.

Unfortunately I think Fat Bastard and ND stick their nose in this argument before its all said and done.

After watching Texas last night, they are not the same team that lost to OSU earlier in the year. Colt McCoy is growing up fast and can make the tough throw in the teeth of the rush.

If Florida somehow makes it through I think they would go over the Ville. Texas would be next up in my mind, then any undefeated Big East team.

As they say "opinions are like a**holes; everyone has one and they all stink."

But for what it's worth, my prediction is if Ohio St beats Mich, then they'll play a 1 loss SEC champ since they've already beaten Mich and Texas. L'vill/Rut winner are SOL due to weak schedules. Texas sneaks in if only 1 loss SEC team is an Auburn team that didn't play in the SEC title game. If you don't win your conference you shouldn't play for a Nat'l title.

If Mich wins then I think you'll see them play 1 loss Texas team.

Of course all hell really breaks loose if Texas is upset in the B12 title game, Florida loses to a 2 loss Ark in the SEC title, Rutgers beat L'ville then loses to WVU, USC beats Cal and ND then loses to UCLA,.. etc, etc, etc. If all this happens then you may see an OSU/Mich rematch if the first one's a classic game.

So many possibilities. No playoff has it's downside, but it keeps college football the most popular and talked about sport.

Wow! Fast bastard, that's original. ND won't be playing for the NC even if they beat USC. However, they probably will make a BCS bowl even if they lose to USC.

Not so sure on that one dirty. Dont they have to be ranked high enough? And we know there are 6automatics, plus Boise, plus Rose will take OSU-Mich loser, plus a 2nd SEC team....so just one free spot and gonna be hard to take ND (if eligible) over a USC team that beats them under your scenario....

Sun Tzu - Trust me... I don't want them to go to a BCS bowl with two losses. The media backlash against the Irish is already tough to take this year (Some deserving/some ridiculous).

I dont hate Louisvilole. in fact thye made me money the other night. I just dont think they are worthy. And I would like to see a competitive national championship game with the two best teams. I am not sure who the other team should be, but I am sure it isnt Louisville.

No hate, just a lack of a championshp caliber defense imho.

Wow, I guess that means Texas didn't have a championship defense when they met up with a top offense, (which is what West Virginia is) last year in USC.

Silly me.

If we are going to disrespect Louisville...Is everybody ignoring that Ohio State and Michigan both took a big shit this weekend?

They aren't worthy either.

F this blubberring BS...Louisville is more than deserving.

I doubt they get to play for the NC, but watching all these teams, I really think despite the early season loss to OSU, Texas is the best team in the country at this point. McCoy is a whole different animal from his 2nd start vs OSU.

IMO, Louisville (assuming they win out) would have done enough for me to respect them in the NC game. I mean its not like Boise St sneaking in there or something. They would have beaten some very good teams to get there.

But I do think that Texas is a better team than Louisville.

I wouldnt put too much stock into Mich/OSU last weeks games, they have looked amazing all season (for the most part). If they lay an egg and struggle with competition this week then I might start to question them.

Didnt they win those games?? ON the road, no less??

I guess cause Michigan had a close one w/ Ball St they should be knocked down to #25, same w/ OSU w/ Illinios

let's see, the main difference between osu/mich and texas is that two of those teams are undefeated and one isn't. everyone wants to judge how great texas is based on the fact their only loss is to osu. who have they beaten? i'm just saying that looking at this thing objectively, it's quite a stretch to say texas is the best team in the country, especially when you take into account their recent games against neb and tt.
