I have played baccarat since the 1990's.....and never seen this done. I have ripped cards in half, and I have seen all kinds of stuff done with cards (crazy superstitions), but I have never seen what this dude does at the 26 second mark.

Every card in Baccarat is destroyed/recycled/thrown away, after it is played, the card is only used once. Shoe is usually 8 decks, although sometimes it can be 6 deck shoe.

Some casinos even have a shredder next or under the table (or close to the table) that they use to get rid of the cards. I have seen big clear recycling bags filled with shredded cards removed from the casino floor before.

Counting cards in blackjack (or any card game for that matter) is legal, and so is "destroying cards" in baccarat.


Although I have been at Baccarat tables where people have ripped the cards into like 10 pieces, that is going too far and your just being an asshole when you do that. That shit will get ya thrown out because your just being a dickhead to the dealer, no dealer wants to pick up little pieces of a card.

As stated above, I always rip em in half if I get a Natural 8 or 9, just a superstition I have. Any other combo I don't rip em. Actually most of the time I don't even bend the cards.

Keep in mind there are Baccarat tables where only the dealer can touch the cards (usually low limit tables). Those Baccarat tables are much faster (deal way more hands in an hour) and are there for fuddy duddies like YYZ and Madjack that don't want to have any fun.
