This guy hasn't pitched in seven years. I remember getting his baseball card in the late 80s. Put my money on him and:

Yesterday on the post game radio show following the game Jose made a comment to Joe Nuxall about today`s game. "We`re going to kickass,Joe. Were going to kick ass!" Guess he did.

another note about Jose...

they just said on espn that he was the ace for the reds in the 1990 world series. Twelve years ago

they also said he is the second pitcher in history to record a win after receiving a hall of fame vote

rijo is a real class act! i met him in cincinati when i came down to visit few years back when he was on the dl! cincinnati ws very smart not to let him go or give up on this guy! he is really remarkable and seems like he hasnt lost a step! weatched the game the other day between reds and cubs and rijo totally dominated! reds are off to a pretty good start and with stlouis not playing well and also the cubs if they can keep on winning till griffey comes back maybe they will make some noise? but seems like everyone plays better without griffey

heard it from somewhere that griffey maybe headed back to m's??

They were talking alot about this on ESPN radio a few weeks back. The way they were talking, Griffey was the one that may have started such a rumor. Seattle, does not want this guy back. Way to much baggage with this guy. Actually, lot of talk about this in Cincy, but in Seattle, I heard the fans really don't even wanna hear it.

And on Jose Rijo...this guy is a class act.
