Why doesn't his father straighten him out? I know if I would have acted like this when I was his age, there would have been hell to pay.

OH
1 play.......

I want to see one play with this kid, a simple crossing route against the ravens. Let Ray have a shot at him, coming acrosse the middle. Yeah he was tough in college but so were hundreds of other players that are no where near the NFL now. He is a punk and the more he hold out and pulls this type of sh*t the more every player is going to line him up.......but he is a Mutha F&^king solider man, so he can take it right??? The guy is a joke, I'm just glad his tugh guy image made Gibbs wait or he would have been a skin!

Hello Arena league 5 years with his attitude.

just some scattered replies:

re: winslow's dad knocking sense in to him

unfortunately, his dad is the REASON his son is the way he is. he seems to encourage his brashness and arrogance. you should read some of the quotes in the local papers attributed to winslow sr.

re: ben troupe

troupe is going to be a real good nfl tight end. however, theres a precipitous drop in 'class' from winslow to troupe and the rest of the tight ends. but (as a gator fan) ive always liked troupe. nice player, but not in winslows class.

re: tight end being an impact position

thats an interesting point and is definitely up for debate. i know where youre coming from and can see your point. however i think a team who DOES have a good tight end is incredibly tougher to defend than one who has a mediocre or average one. holmes gets a lot of credit for the explosiveness of the kansas city offense, but gonzalez, as good as he is, is still underrated and underappreciated. he total changes the way the defense has to line up and attack. so if you CAN get a good tight end, i think it can be very important.

re: risk factor with winslow

i dont see much of a risk. quite frankly, i think he is about as cant miss as a guy can get. bloodlines say he will be a good pro. and he proved himself against the premier teams in college football.

bottom line is he is a fu/cking as/shole who IS that damn good and he knows it. his attitude could use some humbling, but i find it hard to believe that he wont be a premier nfl player within 3 years. hopefully by then he will get popped a few times by some of the linebackers in the afc north and he will tone down his act a little.

but the talent he possesses is pretty disgusting.

Didn't know that about Winslow Sr. Always saw him as a man of integrity. Never saw the side you speak of.

gman2......wasn't there some big fiasco about the way the Winslow's decided who their agent was going to be? If I remember correctly, dad was running the show and it was basically who can kiss Kellen I and Kellen II's ass the most gets to represent us.

seems like the majority of people are rooting against the guy.

no doubt he has a bullseye on his chest and will be enemy #1 for a lot of teams and opposing fans.

but i guess if he catches 5 or 6 balls and around 80 yards a game then it will be a fair trade off
