I do know that the Capitals are going to be less than motivated to play tonight. Gonchar definitely thinks he is next and a few more will likely come.

I think there will be more Jersey fans there than Cap fans. Cap fans are pissed off about the Bondra trade. Not only did they lose one of their favorite players and a team leader, but they got nothing in return.

Wouldn't be surprised if Leonsis does not show up tonight. If he does, he is going to get berrated.

I just can't see Washington winning this game.

Jersey 5
Caps 0

im a situational hockey player.. and love to bet against teams that are dumping their player at the end of the season. Love the devils in this spot coming off a 4-4 tie. Caps have to be devistated by losing bondra.

yup, seems reasonable, but...

yup, seems reasonable, but...

amazing how many teams pull together after key player hurt or traded. Even popular ones traded. Gonchar on trading block lately and eveyone knew he'd be traded soon. WA started winning! Tho Gonchar wanted out of WA bad, so even possibly team chemistry (on defense esp) might be improved with the trade.

and other bettors thinking WA and such teams gonna be rotten so you get a better dog price with them!

and Bondra not easy to play with, a bit unorthodox and very set in his ways, so might not help new team right away like Sullivan at Nash.

and that's probably the angle here--bet with teams like Nash that are on a roll and owners feeding it ever more by getting new players and giving contract extensions to others.

need more thoughts on this!
