Tell me about players who will step up next year fans of your teams chime in:

Ohio St: who plays QB next year, who is their next great CB, Does the Sweater need some Preparation H for his hemorrhoids that Florida left him?

Auburn: Who replaces Kenny Irons Brad Lester just doesn't look like the franchise to me. Do they have another Will Herring on D?

Texas: quietly this team could be very good.

Oklahoma: who is your QB. Zac Lee goes to Nebraska and probation is possible?

Iowa: does Ferentz stay, who plays Qb next year, can they get their mojo back?

Louisville
: I think they could be better with Kragthorpe, great hire in my opinion.

Va Tech: Glennon ain't gonna cut it who can complement Ore?

Florida
: they may be even better with Big Brutus at QB, how hungry will they be next year, can they improve their base rush attack?

Tennessee: I think the program needs an overhaul, Fat Phil is one of the best recruiters in the country and there are deep crooked pockets there, they always seem to have great talent and a whole bunch of what if...

Can Ty Willingham get some talent over at Udub?

West Va: will they improve their defense, can Pat White improve his touch?

Nebraska: Zac Taylor and his pop-gun arm are gone. ASU transfer Sam Keller if he masters the offense could put up Playstation type numbers, contingent on Mo Purify staying and Brandon Jackson. Callahan needs to win the Big 12 next year and put them in the BCS or the seat gets very hot in Lincoln.

I say Saban gets Alabama unphucked in 2 years, Miles plunges LSU into mediocrity within 3.

USC: I think Carrol is a fool if he leaves. If they lose Jarrett, can Turner or Hazelton become the next franchise WR? How good will Booty be next year or will Mark Sanchez wrestle the job away?

Of course, all of this subject to further review and spring practice, and how many blue chips your favorite team signs.

this is sort of off topic.......but 3 teams i look forward to seeing the progress in the next 2-3 years.....North Carolina (Butch Davis), Arizona State (erickson) and Illinois (Zook)........people will scoff at zook and illini, but he could sell a sinking ship......the recruits are coming and with 20 of the 22 starters being Zook's boys on last nights championship team, I'd say thats a good selling point......

Zook just cant coach. This exact same Florida team would have 4 losses in the SEC with that same schedule.

I am an ASU homer, so I am expecting big things with Erickson as well...and I think you are dead on with North Carolina and Davis. I am a big fan of his...

I promise you Auburn's problems next year will not be at RB. Brad Lester is unbelievable when he's healthy, and go ahead and get familiar with this name:

Ben Tate, he is the real deal.

Tray Blackmon is the heir apparent on defense. You might remember him as the guy who cost Florida an undefeated season with that fumble by Chris Leak that he almost took to the house.

The problem is Lester and Blackmon were suspended for the bowl game and are in Tuberville's doghouse big time. This was Blackmon's second suspension, so who knows how much he'll contribute next year, but he is pure talent and athleticism and has the potential to be all-world if he can get his act together.

Auburn's got a lot of young talent, so next year just depends on whether they step up or not.

The major holes will be O-line, receiver, and special teams.

The D-line will be stacked with Q. Groves returning for his senior season, and FR standout Sen'Derrick Marks.

Lot of seniors leaving, not good.

LSU: Keiland Williams got off to a late start due to clearinghouse woes, but 2nd half of the season he showed awsome power speed and vision.

Flynn should do a good job next season. Too bad he waited 4 years for this opportunity, only to have his OC/QB coach bolt.

LSU will sorely miss Laron Landry and Jesse Daniels at safety. These 2 must have 90 starts between them, and I'm sure everyone witnessed the difference in the Sugar Bowl the impact Jesse Daniels has on the LSU defense----> w/o him in the 1st half ND puts up 260 yards/ with him back in the 2nd only half 30 yds!! Craig Steltz was beaten repeatedly via the ground and the air in Daniels 1H absence for missing curfew. Good thing Les Miles only slapped his wrist;)

USC: Carroll isnt going anywhere.

D will be unbelievable. Only missing 1 starter. Bringing in even more talent to shore up dline. The experience gained by the young linebacking corp in 06 will pay huge dividends in 07.

Booty will be the qb provided he stays healthy. Has had back problems in the past. Turner will be the go to guy & will be very good. The 1 game where both smith & jarrett were out, turner had 12 catches for 116 & a td. In addition to hazelton & turner, there are other receivers that are making some noise in practice... ausberry (big mike williams, jarrett mold), holland (4.35 40, good hands), patterson (also fast). Plenty of talent to step up.

I think the big question going into the season will be the Offensive Coordinator(s)... it looks like kiffen & sarkisian are going to be gone. Rumor is sark is leading candidate to go to the raiders & kiff a candidate for the minnesotta job. I dont know why I think this, but I get the feeling Carroll wants to make a change there and they both are trying to find greener pastures.

So Cal
The WR's are plenty good. My only concern is J.Booty. Not much was expected from USC at the start of the season. In the 2007 season USC will be the fav to win a BCS NC and J.Booty's & Heisman will be used in the same sentence alot. I'm not sure how he will handle the pressure.

Well for VT I have read articles about their QB they are picking up who played(or was in the lineup) in the army high school all star game

Scouting report says the kid can really move and is pretty acurate, I look forward to seeing him play. Glennon just killed us in big games this season, will haev to do more off season research but from what I have seen Ore doesnt NEED a compliment, although it would be nice, but Ore took the team on his back this year and he was injured doing it.

Big ? Is if Adibi and Hall come back. I know Hall was considered preseason as top 3 underclassmen LB to go in the draft this year if he decided. VT defense will be very very good next year as well regardless if those two come back. Hopefully they pick up a few DB, because flowers was the only one that I could remember doing anything special this season. Of course all of this is just off the top of my head and will come back when i get more solid facts and can contribute more

Good thread
