Dislike both teams and in saying that the REFS were absolutely awful.....Baltimore should have had many calls that were never called and guys tossed out of the game for their bullshit.

I noticed at least 3 times that Ravens players took a swipe at a Niners' guy head after the whistle and there was no flag.

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Mike and Mike show was talking about officiating

Mike and Mike show was talking about officiating

"The NFL offices allowed them to play"

was the conclusion offered....

which means to me, the league may be contrived to a greater degree than most want to believe.

What was the most compelling storyline for SB ratings?

Brother vs Brother combined with Lewis retirement.

In any event, congrats to Balt and their backers, it was a very compelling and entertaining game, mission accomplished.

what did the Niners being down by 22 have to do with holding in the endzone??????

i said the niners killed themselves they had chances to win the game

i am talking about crucial game changing calls

do you really believe ed reed was not offsides on the 2pt conversion....that was fing crucial

do you really believe on ravens last drive that was a penalty yet on 4th and goal with both arms wrapped around the guy thats not a hold...that is a fing crucial call

how does a no call in the first half become crucial

come on man your a joke

if you really believe ed reed was not offsides and that was not a hold there your a fing moron...those are crucial fing game changing events late in the 4th....a 1st quarter non call is not fing crucial when the game is not on the line

a typical east coast delusional

You can call me a moron all you want, that does not change the fact that blaming the refs for the niners losing is weak.

There were bad calls going both ways. I have never heard of a game that was 28-6 at one point being decided by the refs.

Good thing I am an east coaster so the east coast bias helps me out. :142smilie

I am a big time 49ers fan. I live 3 miles from their new stadium. You have got to let it go. Balt was the better team and they didn't make mistakes at critical times. The Niners will be back to the Super Bows again soon and it wouldn't surprise me if they win a couple in the next three years. Ravens are the Champs and they earned it. Maybe we will see you again next year.

I guess I'm not going to blame the game on the last call on Crabtree but the two WORST calls or non calls in this game went against San Fran and its not close. Ed Reed totally blew up the play being offsides on the 2 point conversion and a raven pushes the ref and should if been ejected but at the very least been given a penalty.

As for the reason why the Niners lost..,,,
Horrible ref zone offense, it's like they chafed their entire game plan and that was the difference. Plus the Niners made some horrible plays by allowing a WR to get 50 yards wide open before the first half and allowing a KR TD to start 2nd half

The Niners will not be back to the Super Bowl soon. You have a limited window many time in the NFL. As anyone can see, the Niners pass defense has a ton of weaknesses, teams will adjust to this, plus they will be losing players eventually. The team to beat in their division wi be Seattle

Disagree, respectfully of course

Think sanfran is here to stay.

Similar to the steelers.

Everyyear competitive, and anytime could be a superbowl team. They will add a coverage guy or two, and be fine.

Seattle will be as well, except I am afraid once teams do adjust to the read option, wilson will struggle. His arm isn't like kapernicks.

They will not get that much for smith. A 3rd or a 4th rounder. Niners have no leverage cause they have to trade him so they don't get a cap hit. If they release him they will get a cap hit, he is due a bonus sometime in March so the Niners won't be demanding much.

Plus Smith is scheduled to make $8 million next year and can't imagine many teams lining up to give up a lot of compensation to get a mediocre QB at that price, but you never know plenty of stupid teams out there.
