lol...that sounds about as weird as the apparent change in some of hillary`s liberal ideology....at least as far as some of her recent public statements seem to indicate....

did this woman have a full frontal lobotomy within the last year or two?....

.....instead of taking the liberal party line of "the screamer"(yeeeeeaaahhh!!!!),kennedy and the rest of the "just attack bush" crowd.........she seems to have realized that this mode of strategy isn`t working....

she urges people to get on board and support the elected government of iraq...i agree!

is very critical of our non-policy on immigration and the mexican border.......i agree!

a general change in her political attitude......toward a more centrist....maybe even a slightly conservative point of view on many issues......there are a few others i`ve noticed, but they don`t immediately come to mind....

wtf....

keep it up hil......some of us are listening...... :yup

Oh please, can't you spot blatant pandering when you see it?

Even if you don't like W, you have to admit he has got principles, sticks to them and does what he says he is going to do!!

i hear you english......but,i say pander on, hil.....

i`m conflicted(not afflicted)...

it`s disturbing....and at the same time very refreshing...

disturbing in that some dems are actually smartening up a bit and realize the old attack strategy got them losses in the last 2 elections.....

disturbing in that the woman that will probably be the 2008 nominee is the shrewdest one in a lame bunch....she is scary...and smart...

encouraging in the fact that even if it is pandering....even if i believe that it`s all politics,i love hearing it from a prominent democrat....

it`s so.....so... uplifting to think that maybe...just maybe....there is someone on the other side that sees things as they are...not as they should be in a utopian fantasy world....

i say kudos to hillary.....i want to hear more.......

my political philosophy and allegiance isn`t written in stone....

She got more hair on her balls than I do.

No shame.

1st suffering thru a shiet marriage, now bending in the wind like a Matrix stunt artist.

Her blood thirst for the big chair needs to be satisfied.

Guess it's having some success

She definitely learned one thing from her life partner....

They both got that "lick your finger and stick it in the air" thing down. :mj07:

All reasonable Democrats want the new government in Iraq to succeed. You can have a stance that you were against the war, but certainly want whats best from this point forward without being a flip-flopper.

Most of these things she's talking about don't go against previous stances, from what I can tell. The Dems do need to go to the center to have a chance. Kerry lost because he was perceived as being too Liberal, no doubt about that.

I think Kerry lost because no one knew where he stood. The corporate press said he was the most liberal senator one day then the next day they said he was a flip fliopper. If you think about it how could he be both? Yet most Americans feel both ways about him. He deserves a lot of the blame himself for losing but the press didn't help him any.

Hillary's flop on some major issues is puzzling. It is easy to say she is a phoney and pandering for votes. However, any way you look at her she is anything but dumb. A lot of people find her views not only refreshing, but sensible. She has Californians very happy with her views on immigration. It is hard to say exactly what she is doing, but it is very interesting. I feel that if she doesn't go in 2008, she may be done due to her age. At this point, I think she has more to offer than most.

Which major issues has she flip-flopped exactly?

She's been talking this talk for quite some time. You can have every one of those stances AND be a Bush basher also. That's not flip-flopping by any means.

This will probably stun a lot of you, but I will probably vote for Hillary if she is the democratic nominee in 2008, as well.

Surprising post by GW. Kudos. I'm not sure I would vote for her. It depends on who is running for the Republicans, but it sure would be fun to see all the Delays and Frists and Freezes and Waynes squeal like stuck pigs. :)

smurph, I'm with you - what flip-flopping?

Also, I have just NEVER understood the hatred of her by the Way-Right? I mean, what exactly did she do to offend them. She was being savaged BEFORE Clinton actually took the Oath.

Not only that but in a complete demonstration of tastelessness Chelsea was being cruelly attacked - a CHILD - in those early days!

I know exactly why Hillary was attacked - because she was an accomplished WOMAN - something certain misogynists (thats woman-haters Freeze) just CANNOT stand to see. They want women barefoot, pregnant, in the kitchen, uneducated, unopionated, subservient, etc ). Again, just like the Taliban does.

I will enthusiastically vote for her and cross my fingers that some Right-Wing Wack Job doesn't try and take her out.

i have to take issue with ocelot on that last comment.....

how many times do you see "wild republican`s" trying to "pie" a flaming liberal(michael moore, franken, bill maher)the way they do an ann coulter.....

the weirdo`s trying to disrupt the republican convention....

the lefties are much more prone to unnecessary acts of ridiculousness....and imo, their zeal is much scarier than anything republicans can muster....

when was the last time a democratic spokesperson was shouted down at a speech?....or assaulted?....

It just depends on who's in office at the time. I mean, what had Kerry done to bring the protesters out? He was a senator, ya know? He just never got a chance to prove he sucked.

I think bashing of Moore and Franken is pretty widespread and don't even get me started on what Republicans did to Clinton.

Republicans are just much more organized and systematic the way they bring people down. They don't do it with silly protests or meaningless embarrassing antics. They are more like the FOX that gets in the hen house late at night. You don't realize everything's ruined til morning. I gotta hand it to 'em.
