Texas Gov. Rick Perry responded to Rep. Michele Bachmann's criticism of his short-lived 2007 executive order requiring girls to get a vaccination for human papillomavirus, during Thursday night's Republican presidential candidates' debate in Orlando. Bachmann said a drug company that produced the vaccination hired his former chief of staff to lobby him.
Perry's response: "I got lobbied on this issue. I got lobbied by a 31-year-old young lady who had Stage 4 cervical cancer. I spent a lot of time with her. She came by my office, talked to me about the program."

She lobbied him after the Gov enacted the law. He was lieing and he knew he was lieing. Did his people tell him to say that ? or were they totally caught off guard from Perry shooting from the hip like that.
He had to know that it could and would be checked making him look totally bad.

You know the song about taking the chevy to the levee and the illigals poured out , signed up for college in Texas and were given 22 K , and went back to Mexico for another load.
Americans could not even get into this school in texas for 100 k.

It's a lucky thing that the typical republican voter doesn't care how smart their candidates are. The very fact that Palin, Perry, Bachmann et al have national support proves it. As long as they are folksy and touch on all the right religious and flag and abortion and gay and illegal mexican related points, they are eminently electable - whether they have any skills or intelligence to govern the most powerful country in the world or not. Thanks FOX News for creating these masses. Who would have thought that a single Australian would be the thing that finally destroyed America.
