Had a Canon Pixma 4000 which I really liked, but it needs a new print head and logic board. Hate to see it go, but time to move on.

Just looking for a good printer with inexpensive cartridges. No fax, scanner or duplexing needed.

I buy Epson Stylus 388 for my office staff. We have about thirty people who have a printer at their desk and these thing perform pretty well and at $70 apiece, you can't go wrong.

Tried Canon and was not happy with the print quality so I took it back and they upgraded. Still not happy so they suggested HP Photosmart C5180. We use it mainly for pictures and it has perfect quality. It is also a printer-scanner-copier so you may not be interested.

I have an EPSON all-in-one and I'm happy with it in most ways, BUT, it uses ink like no tomorrow. Plus it holds 6 cartridges (5 color + 1 black).....

It doesn't print as fast as advertised, but thats not a big issue with me as it prints fast enough.

I buy discount cartridges (Cartridge World) and I can't tell the difference in colors from Epson cartridges. I do a lot of graphics work and I'm somewhat particular. The cartridges are around $7.00 apiece or twice that from EPSON.

another vote for epson. Buy your ink refills online too, and they'll be about 300% cheaper than Staples/Best Buy, etc.
