I'm not a big fan of tennis, but I watch the big name events, like most casual fans do.

Do you ever notice how well dressed the people in attendance are? The English are pretty good about tradition in that aspect it would seem, and I applaud them for that.

That kind of respect for tradition doesn't seem to wash over here anymore. Everyone here seems to think shower shoes and sleeveless shirts are the way to go, no matter what the event.

yyz - you are right on the money when it comes to Wimbledon. Having said that, I think the adoration of Federer helped, but as a guy who did not like Murray, I became a fan of his after this match. He is usually a prick, but you could see how much he wanted that for everyone more so than himself.
