70's 80's a throng of 20+ in the living room raising holy hell w/another 7 at the my dinner table w/a TV in the corner so they can watch and gamble playing "Guts" while passing doobies and beer like a quick slant .

It was the party of the year w/guys showing up at noon to get a seat at the poker table while others arrived to shoot the shyt and call "The Man" after arguing the case for one side or other..

The then wife would start the parade of food while I apologized to my neighbors for the 10+ cars parked in the Cul de sac and on my side lawn by the lake.

And then around 15 years ago "The Awakening".....I want to hear every word by the broadcast teams and every collision on the field..

The "Play by Play" became as important as the game itself..

My ??????????????

How important is the "play by play" and "commentary" to your Super Bowl viewing now.
Is it please be quiet I am watching and listening or something between that and glad they have down and distance on the screen or I wouldn't have a clue with all this screaming in the room.

"Hush I am watching and listening to the game. You can talk while we fast forward through the commercials."

Enjoy the game........lets hope it's a classic :0008

I didn't watch film in high school like I could have or should have... Once I got to college we had a coach who was amazing at breaking down film... Coach MacIntyre was the man at finding what teams were good at and more importantly what they wanted to do and we're trying to do...

Because of him teaching me what to look for, I love being able to watch the game in quiet and mostly watching the line of scrimmage....I 100% believe the game is won in the trenches....I love seeing who is driving their opponents off the line at the whistle.

During the regular season I watch the majority of games at my dad's house usually with my daughter and siblings. There are 9 of us total, and my 8 siblings are all steeler fans so I'm usually viewing every snap of their games at 1:00 kickoff followed up by watching the Raiders late kickoff since my dad is a huge fan of the soon to be Las Vegas Raiders. It's usually not quiet, but it isn't chaotic either...I can watch in what I would consider reasonable or moderate peace and quiet.

I'll be watching the superbowl at my dad's like most sundays. They will have a decent crowd with a combination of both friends and family. Some will play cards and some will be in the kitchen, but my dad, older brother, and myself will be in front of the tube with minimal distraction. I inherited my love of football from my dad and he is equally as excited for this game. It should be a great game and we both are big Matt Ryan supporters. Neither of us are decided on what we will be wagering on, but if you made my guess, I'd lean Atlanta and over.

Anyways, in my early 20's I enjoyed the bar/members club type environment, but now, I prefer a quieter environment where my daughter can be around family during the rare occasion that she doesn't have all of my attention...

That's where I'll be old school....hope you enjoy the game. I've seen the pictures of your living room and TV. I know you'll have the best seats in the house....Hopefully it's as good as a game as I predict

Good luck O.S.

stone cold silence is my preference.
Even during regular season games, I've locked myself in a quiet room with a small 22 inch tv to watch a game on instead of the big tv in the family room because the kids were in there playing and hanging out.
