I just mentioned about the 3 away officials....my take about that is....like todays Nevada-Iona game....the WAC refs who probably had Nev once or twice already know them..the coahes know them too...the WAC coaches rate their refs..after every game...and then an end of the yr evaluation...the WAC refs could care less about the MAAC teams or coaches...so the human nature comes in here....I'm not saying anyone is cheating,etc....but there has to be a small lean on your own refs....having coached for many yrs in the NY State HS tourney....the regionals and sectionals always have split refs...I think my guys look after me somewhat and the other teams ref looks after them..on a small scale...don't know the stats of the bracketbuster...it would be intresting to see if there are any facts to base this on.....i don't believe the refs showup at an away gym and say..Ok,lets give our guys a home cooker...but to me the human element comes in somewhere,some place....and again I have no facts to prove that....GL today...
