maryland on a roll, but,i`ll take chuck d`amato off an unexpected loss, with major revenge in a game with major acc ramifications...i am a maryland fan living outside of baltimore...early leans

1)nc st+6....way to many points to give a tough, balanced nc st team with revenge on the road(nc st a tough road dog...love this spot)...love these"over-reaction to last weeks results" games...and if you noticed,nc st tends to lose a little focus at home(i.e. duke).....they seem very tough and focused on the road.....

2)so fla-13(bought half from 13.5)....memphis very erratic...qb wimprine can be a turnover machine....so fla is a very well balanced club

3)san jose+3.5....take the points with san jose that plays most on the road...they can score...home+points in a game that is a very close match-up

4)n texas-14....that n texas "d"...idaho "d" on the road is uggh....n texas` offense starting to open up...n texas smelling another sunbelt title...will ride this hard nosed little club till they drop...

5)minny+7)....over-reaction to last weeks results...michigan offense very pedestrian...minny not as good as most previously thought...but at home with a full td vs pedestrian michigan offense,i`ll take it....love the fact that michigan threw up all those points last week vs horrible mich st...teams tend to come out flat the next week(when they aren`t normally high scoring clubs)....

5a)houston pick.....more a play against ecu...not a large play...don`t trust houston that much....but a play,nonetheless against a bad ecu club...

boise-27.5....from what i see, boise is very pissed about being drubbed last year at rice 45-14.......boise has many starters back and i understand they have been pointing toward this one,........since dinwiddie`s return, the offense has been unstoppable...if utep could throw 38 up on rice,i shudder to think what boise might do with revenge.....i`ll lay the wood and take my chances with pissed off broncos on the verge of winning the wac title....if houston and navy could control the bone,i think boise can...and if rice gets some points,it may not matter as boise will score and score here...g.l.

11/08
downgrading maryland to a medium play

adding uab+7 and a moneyline play

adding purdue+7 small play(bought the full point-waited for it to rise and it cost me).

wash st-5

indiana-1.5

ohio -3

w mich-23

nevada-27.....g.l.

Mason's ATS record of off a SU loss + Michigan's record as away favorite really make me like this play. I'll wait for more information as the week goes by, but Minnesota looks nice in this spot.

when i saw overnght line at 4.5 I thought it was sucker line of sorts, which i usually reserve for NFL ... but then line goes up more? ... something doesnt make sense, I love both coaches and teams, and Terps Jenny Craig HC is 15-0 as a fave ATS (i think)

i agree....i bet this at 4....then went back and hit it again at 6....i respect my hometown terps, but,i really wouldn`t want to lay close to a td under these circumstances...i still don`t think terps qb mcbrien(couldn`t start at w va)is totally solid...the terps have looked awesome vs some very weak competition....one solid win vs geo tech....i really like the fact that this is at maryland...nc st not as sharp at home...coming off loss, major revenge off hurtful loss at end of last season at nc st...i think the head coach`s almost offset one another...both excellent..in a tight, tough game with tons of conference ramifications,i think the situations point me towards the points....g.l. whatever you decide..

love these"over-reaction to last weeks results" games
I don't think this is an overreaction to last week's results; I think it's a case of an expected letdown by State.

undefeated after 1st loss

undefeated after 1st loss

Not sure of the exact record but when team has no losses late in the season and suffers 1st loss they usally lose ATS the next week.

That would be play against notre dame, nc st, and geogia.

reason is that there is a letdown of going undefeated and chance for national championship. I would think in the past they were still favored but in this case nc state is not.

recent weeks oregon and air force lost 1st game and not only did not cover but lost again!!

Just some food for thought

Some of the other teams may have a chance to get back in the national title picture, but I don't think NC State can with their strength of schedule. I think NC State is the most likely to let down out of the four teams that lost their first game last week. But you never know.

Weasel,

Totally agree on the NC St. game.

I'd be careful on the Michigan game. Minnesota was shown to be very pedestrian in every way last week, albeit on the road. They have played a horrible schedule and haven't beaten anybody of note. If there was an over-reaction, it was Michigan's win, not Minnesota's loss. But i'm not sure this line isn't right on.

Maryland WILL win this game SU, no doubt about it. Trust me.

ANd the way their defense and special teams are playing, I see them winning by at least a TD.

No offense GardenWeasel, but Maryland is the way to go here IMO.

thanks jeff....my header is a little misleading....i will end up playing all the games at about the same amount.....maybe a couple dollars difference by the end of the week....md-n c st was the header because i honestly don`t see the terps(my terps)as a td better than nc st(md`s wins have ,for the most part, been against weak opposition-as has most of nc st`s)....a little surprised at the line...an enormously important acc game....g.l. all

I hear ya buddy, I expected a line of -3 or 4.I think theyre fishing for NCSU $$. I could be wrong, of course. BUT this is a coaching mismatch. Firedgen has covered every game last year and this year except four: FSU, UF, Notre Dame, FSU again.

IMO, no reason to think he can't do it again. Terps on a roll; NCSU in prime setup for a let down. Raucos crowd at Byrd Saturday.
